Both are set in a remote village where monsters (or vampires) roam around by night. Both early episodes started out very slow until in the middle, things finally took off.

both are about Vampires, both are pretty dark stories with great characters, so, if you enjoyed watching Shiki, you will enjoy Blood-C.

-Those anime both take place in a calm village in the middle of nowhere with a similar ambiance.
-They are very bloody and features a bunch of monsters who are scary in their own way. Though the biggest difference is that blood c got a different monster every episode while in shiki, it takes some time for the characters to acknowledge their existence.
-Finally, I’d say they are perfect to watch in this period of Halloween!
Both series are dark-themed and gory enough to keep you on the edge of the seat waiting for the next plot to uncover a.k.a bodies in this case but they also exhibit a presence of psychological themes, goes without saying they require to be watched exclusively at night time to fully taste the blood fests that one is about to indulge (even more so since these are relative short series), but the main thing regarding these two is to bare with the slow introduction as that could be a repellant at first but damn do they have some action-packed development and fitting ends!
both are bloody vampire series with a lot of death in them as well as a lot suspense too and creative character designs.

Both animes have a place in a small, peaceful village which is getting attacked by monsters and a main character has to save the village and the people living in it. Also both seem monotonous and boring at first, but each episode they get more fun, eventually both ending up quite interesting and fun.
