Both movies center around the theme: "You don't know what you have until it's gone."
Both movies have a world change and the Main character tries to go back in his world. If you liked one of them, you will like the other. but first you should watch the anime though. because you won't understand anything.
These two movies is similar in story where the main characters Naruto and Kyon sent to another parallel world where there are parallel events occured aside from the world they came from.

Both are stories of the protagonist finding themselves in an alternate world were they have what they've always wanted. The main differences are that Haruhi is a Slice of Life while Naruto is a fighter, and Naruto is shown actively enjoying the other world.
"Experiencing the other World" or "What would happen if..."
They both have the same concept.
-Main Character sent to the other world
-The surprise of how different the world is(in this case i think Naruto does it better)
-The rejection of Main Character to the the other world(They began to acting weird)
-The Amazing twist near the end
-The sad farewell scene
Which one is better? IMO of course it's The Suzumiya Haruhi no Shousitsu. Because How well they connecting the Movie to the TV Series. While Naruto Road to ninja is just a Spin off. And Also the main Character,Kyon development is just so good while because the movie
