Dark atmosphere, a girl that is "special" fighting against her own kind...hunting her own kind. The dark, silent male as a love interest and a mysterious past. Drama, blood, people dying. Story goes deeper than at first looks, and furher in history...this especially for Blood+
They both have to deal with in a way vampires when you think about it cause what saya is fighting in Blood + is in fact a vampire when you start to think about the fact they need blood to live
Both are supernatural anime featuring a young girl with mysterious supernatural powers and origins, who becomes partnered with a tall, black-haired man who also has supernatural powers and acts as the heroine's protector and possible lover. They even have the same voice actors in the dub (Kari Wahlgren and Crispin Freeman). In both cases, they work for an organization tasked with fighting and defeating supernatural beings (Witches and Chiropterans) who are treated as monsters at first but become more nuanced and sympathetic overtime.
"Blood+" has a better story, while "Witch Hunter Robin" has better music and voice acting and slightly better characters. If you like one,

Both are spooky themed goth stoires with a strong female lead action packed and also lots of really nice art and character designs too. Also monster hunting as well too.
