- After a lot of hard work, they become stronger and reliable.
There is also a similarity in how they have to fight the monsters in a specified zone.

Both feature a protagonist who is weak at first and gets ridiculed for it, but then goes through a traumatic experience that makes him want to become stronger. They also have similar personalities, they're independant and cunning and can be ruthless at times to serve their own interests.
Both shows also rely heavily on the incorporation of video game mechanics, like a lot of isekai do, but there's an attempt to "subvert" the tropes of the genre by adding plot twists or making the protagonist more morally grey.
They're both entertaining enough but not all that deep.
