- Both anime have multiple comedy scenes and very memorable supporting characters. Both of them form an entourage of powerful friends who aid them in battle.
- Both characters attract powerful enemies and hence both anime have mutiple fight scenes
-Both anime have a power ranking system (SS Rank, A rank etc.)
- However, unlike OPM, Rimuru's power grows steadily during the series whereas Saitama is OP from the start
- Also, Slime has much more world building than OPM
