If you want a good story, supernatural forces, and a tear-jerker, this is a great show.
In Boku Dake ga Inai Machi (Erased) the main character goes back in time to prevent his childhood friend from dying. A similar occurrence happens in Orange when the main character recieves a letter from her future self warning her of her friend's death and guiding her toward changing it. Both anime involve a character who feel worthless and have a rather... dysfunctional life, as well as a character who is looking to save said character.
Different execution, but the same purpose . Our protagonist will have the opportunity to reverse what happened or what will happen , all thanks to information that link both in a painful past , an unknown future and the present uncertainty of what might happen .

This one takes a much more romantic route but both deal with regrets from childhood and time travel. both have the heartwarming relationships between a group of friends working together to help the victim.

Definitely resembles Boku Dake! Boku Dake Ga Inai Machi is a great seinen anime. Despite Orange is a shojo type, the plot really is similar. In Orange, the main character sends her younger self a letter to save a loved one. In Boku Dake, the main character himself goes back in time for the same reason. These two really gives you the same type of feels. Definitely a must read!

Both include a future version of the MC altering their past actions and trying to reshape their future. Orange doesn't have the actual time travel that Erased does, though.

Both stories involve someone (or in Orange, a group of people) "going back in time" to save a friend from dying. Orange focuses more on the dramatic, emotional side of things while Boku dake ga Inai Machi has more action and suspense. Both are very good shows, especially if you appreciate the sci-fi elements.
While they may seem to be very different they somehow manage to capture a very similar feeling, if you like one I'll bet you'll like the other.
Both anime are dark in nature with heavy themes of death and depression. Onward, a large percentage of each anime is spent on the relationships between friends. Furthermore, in terms of story they both involve the use of time travel to save someones life.
Erased differs by being a seinen with a psychological, mystery story. While Orange differs by being a shoujo with a large focus on romance and having more lighter and cheerful tones.
Very similar concept, however instead the protagonist receives a letter from her future self that outlines future events and she tries to prevent some from happening.
Boku take ga Inai Machi is very similar to Orange through the aspects of time travelling. Although, it is not as blatant as it is in Boku take ga Inai Machi. Orange is also a romance anime.
Both protagonists in the anime try so save someone who is no longer alive in the future.
However, they need to do some investigating on the victim's background and life at home etc.
Don't really want to reveal too much, but the animes have very similar plots but different targeted audiences. I recommend Orange if you like romance animes.

In both anime, the main character loses someone close to them. Then, in the future, they are given the chance to change their past.
Both series involve adults being sent back to the past in order to save the life of another classmate. In Erased, the MC's main conscious is sent back in time, whereas in Orange the MC sends notes to herself in an alternate timeline

Both revolve around time travel (Erased more than Orange) to erase past mistakes and fight for a better future. They have really good characters and animation, both have a very interesting and engaging story and you really get invested in whats going on.
Erased (Boku dake ga inai Machi) is similar to orange but in my opinion erased is a lot better, they both are about going back in time to stop a death of a class mate but erased is also a lot more mysterious because the main guy has to find the killer of the kids and his mother (in the future) yeah it’s kinda confusing when I write it but it’s a really good show I think

Saving a friend through time. Erased and Orange presents a story of which a fellow friend had passed away due to a tragic event. Though the MCs use time manipulation in order to save the respective character.

In Orange the main character gets letters from the future warning them about the person's death, but it also has some romance.
I would recommend Orange if you want a similar anime. but with romance involved.

Protagonists try to fix their past mistakes by reaching out to the past by letters(orange) and projecting current self to the past(Erased). Try them you won't be disappointed
The biggest similarity between "Orange" and "Erased" is that both MC's have regrets and they (somewhat) go back to the past to fix their mistakes made in the original past. They try to prevent deaths of certain people; people that they care for, people that they know.
However, they both have VERY different genres. Orange has a lighter vibe to it, mostly because it's a shoujo romance. Erased has a darker atmosphere, like the complete opposite of Orange lol. They're still pretty similar though, I recommend both :P

The circumstances of the protagonists are pretty similar, in Erased, the main character goes back in time to prevent murders, while in Orange, the main character tries to prevent the death of her friend. Both animes have great pacing, the characters are really likeable, and the friendships are sweet and moving. Orange is more about romance than Erased tho.

Both the series involve a protagonist burdened by regret for their pasts. They find a way to make things right by getting a second chance with time travel.
Although Time Travel is a key factor, both the shows aim for something entirely different. Both of them focus on human relations rather than focusing on their time travel aspect. People expecting some Quantum Entanglement level explanations should stay clear.

Both storys revolve about going back in time to prevent something terrible. Also just like in erased, orange shows different timelines and what could've happened

These 2 are surely similar ', since they're based in time traveling to save someone that they hold dear. Main difference is that in Orange the protagonist doesn't go back herself and try to change the future. Overall both are great.
Both series utilize the theme of time travel specifically for saving a loved one from dying sometime in the future. Although that happens differently for each show, both series retain mystery and drama elements; Erased chooses to include suspense and the overall atmosphere in general is heavier and darker, while Orange is a bit more light-hearted but still melancholic in its storytelling.

Erased and Orange have similar plots, just in different genres. Erased is a mystery/ thriller series, while Orange is a romance drama.
However, both of the plots involve characters learning that someone in their life is going to die sometime in the future. These characters have a type of time travel that aids them. As they struggle to save the lives of the people they care about, our protagonists grow closer to those they try to save and even fall in love.
Orange focuses on changing the future, while Erased focuses on changing the past.
