Dantalian no Shoka

I cannot believe this hasn't been recommended before.
- Both series seem to follow a kind of case-of-the-week pattern with a overall plot progression.
- Gothic atmosphere.
- Character designs are similar, especially with Huey and Abel.
- Abel is to Trinity Blood what both Huey and Dalian are in Dantalian no Shoka. Detective role+supernatural power.
But I believe Trinity Blood is inferior to Dantalian no Shoka when it comes to art, animation, music and characters too, I'd say. The higher production value of Dantalian is expected, it being produced 6 years after Trinity Blood. But that doesn't stop TB from giving a very similar vibe and delivering nice storylines.
