Both have a school setting and a romance where one of the girls is basically THE definition of "yandere" and the boy doesn't speak his mind (or, quite frankly, is an idiot).
There's gore in both shows (though in Mirai Nikki a lot more).
School days rather focuses on the romance and the drama, while Mirai Nikki has a plot that revolves around a survival game, though the romance is still important for the way the character act.
Both can be a bit disturbing at certain parts and both are kind of hit-or-miss shows with a lot of people loving them and a lot of people

Both contain obnoxious characters, yanderes and (spoiler) severed heads.
The protagonists are both idiots.
School Days has less gore than Mirai Nikki, however, and is a lot more bearable. Mirai Nikki is longer with a more complex plot, whereas School Days instead focuses on the "romance".
Dark atmosphere through the series. Violent girls.

For those who likes "yandere", should watch Mirai Nikki, the women protagonists of both animes are psychopaths (Kotonoha and Yuno). Mirai Nikki is more violent and dramatic than School Days, but both of them have the "Psychopath Love".

There is an obessive girlfriend, the story is very twisted and deep, and at the end there is extreme violence involved. I highly recommend if you're into horror , an extremely deep story and a little romance.

These two series can gives you a bit of enjoyment because of the retarded characters in the show. Both are gory and dramatic which also focuses on romance. If you are a person who like dark stories, well, you're gonna enjoy these two shows.
both have some pretty crazy girls in it as well as a school romance too.

Extreme. I have to say, I don't quite see extreme stories like Future Diary and School Days a lot. It is too a point of absurdity as well, as in, they don't really care, absurd kinda levels. In saying that, both stories are drastic takes on the themes aim to tell a story about.
With Future Diary ultimately being a far from realistic survival game story, School Days being an over-the-top harem deconstruction of how something as such cannot work. Both use their characters in ways that would make you question the very reality you live in, whether by mentally questionable means or physically logic breaking
