They both have girls used as weapons, the main caracters are girl that escaped the research facilities and are trying to survive. Otherwise the stories and actual enjoyment of the anime are completely different.
Both series contains action, violence, and nudity as first standards.
Additionally, both has the theme of people becoming weapons robbing away their once carefree lives. Experiments, girls with powers, and a mystery atmosphere fills the void in both of these series.
There is also some comedy, drama, and tragedy involved in both of these series.
