Both focuses on high school romance. Though, Ao haru Ride provides you a romance with some struggles and love triangles, Horimiya provides you a heartwarming romance with good understanding between the main characters.

Aside from the main protagonist looking alike from one another, both shows have the same premise which centers around similar context. Focusing on romance about high school students, introducing many characters who'll eventually fall in love with one another. Providing comparable emotions to its viewers that can only be felt by watching these, making anyone's feelings flutter to their hearts content.
