In Martian Successor Nadesico, there is a war between Earth and colonists who escaped to Jupiter.
The mecha design is similar, the main mecha in ALDNOAH.ZERO could pass it self off as an orange custom Aestivalis.
Both series involve ancient martian civilizations that had transportation technology; Hyper Gates in ALDNOAH.ZERO and Boson Jumping in Martian Successor Nadesico.
