Both deal with main characters that have been ostracized from society because of factors they cant control. In Naruto, the titular character (Naruto) is hated by society because a destructive fox beast was sealed within him, while in Shield Hero, it's more of a set up by higher ups to keep the main character disliked and disadvantaged. However, over time, they come to gain the respect of the people who once doubted them. Nothing is handed to the main characters of these anime.
