SIMILARITIES:
- Both are dark fantasy tales with badass characters.
- Each contains over the top gore and epic sword fights in a medieval setting.
- Similar animation style, especially with the characters and their 'eyes.'
- Monster designs are identical.
Yoma/Dragons/Winged Beasts/Claymore/Elves.
- Both contain a heavy metal opening as well as a similar soundtrack.
- Both series also have awesome female warriors.
DIFFERENCES:
- Drifters has more of a modern twist.
- There are guns, explosions, cowboys and even a pilot from WW2.
- Japanese influences including Samurai and Ninja.
- Drifters has comedy relief. Claymore does not.
