Group of people motivated by justice fights to bring down a criminal. Supernatural is involved and the fights are fought with intellect and with backed by the supernatural element, though in Death Note the fight stays mostly on mind games level, in JoJo it gets physical while still incorporating the mind games.
Both have an idealistic MC who wants to help the world and bring justice, yet they're extremely ruthless and would kill anyone anyone who gets in their way without any hesitation.
Both have a supernatural element in it.
In both the battles are of wit and intellect rather than brute force.

Instead of fighting with random punch,you use psychological and mind fight instead, They deal with trust and backstabbing themes,And the main character is a person who will kill everyone if someone dare to slow his progress to his main goal,no matter who he is, no subtlety
