Both Death Note and Kiss Note are plot devices in their respectable shows and both are used to further the plot through what is essentially magic, even though the rest of the universe is essentially realistic.
Both Death Note and Kiss Note have specific mechanics regarding how they are used, and what the consequences of misusing them are
If you liked the concept of an all-powerful book that deals with people's fates in Death Note, you are going to like that concept in Renai Boukun too. It does not kill anyone, but instead makes people fall in love artificially.

Renai is a parody of Death Note. In Death Note, the notebook is set to kill while in Renai, the notebook is set to fall in love. Both MC has a god xompanion. Death Note is a dark story while Renai has a comedic story. Bith of them are fun to watch.
