The female protagonist is protecting the male protagonist and the female happens to have feelings for the male protagonist. Although the female lead in Haiyore! is kind of annoying but she and the female lead from Witch Craft Works give off a comedic feeling.
Similarity of these two series follows a pretty girl who have a task of protecting a boy who is in danger on random encounters. The boy either helps the girl by fighting them by there side, or finding a safe place to hide or watch. Although, he will have some weird and bizarre view from the girl, he will eventually grew in the character and having some bonds between them.
Nyaruko-san follows an extraterrestrial girl who have some human traits and is energetic. Witch Craft Works follows a human girl who is a witch that has supernatural abilities, and she is emotionless.
