Over the top zany comedy with a lot of ecchi humor. In Rance, the comedic couple "lecherous asshole" and "overabused girl with heart of gold" are split into two personas, Rance and Sill. In Maze, the titular character changes gender and is pretty much Rance at night and Sill at day. If you can laugh about the humor of one, you can laugh about the humor of the other. Rance is slightly funnier, and wouldn't deserve the hentai tag in 2020 anymore - there is R+ stuff out which is tougher.
