I know you'll probably put out a new ep of the Heavenly Kings podcast soon, but I just wanted to ask - what's your opinion of the last couple of chapters of Toriko? I've had my suspicions about the rapidness of the plot developments and exposition dumps ever since the focus of the series abruptly shifted away from the matches in Blue Grill with no warning like it did, but after reading the scans for next week's chapter, I've become convinced that Shimabukuro is being forced and rushed to end the series soon, possibly by the 350th chapter or the end of the year. Are you concerned that's what's happening as well?

I do get the feeling that Shimabukuro is rushing things as well. Still, I'd like to think we will get to see the other groups in action. They don't all have to have really long arcs to themselves; just 10-12 chapters could suffice. Ideally, the series will spend about a year covering all of them, and then reunite to find the last dish together, and by the 400 chapter mark they'll have all of the dishes and be prepared for the final battle with NEO. That's what I'm hoping for, but I've never been able to predict what Toriko will do, so I'm keeping my expectations in check.

Yeah, that was a rough arc for a lot of fans. Generally it's nice to hear a little more of discussion about the series than I do on other podcasts/sites, though. Personally, I kinda hated the first half of the Pair arc, but I loved the actual fight with Bambina, and I'm looking forward to where the series is going now.

How do you feel about recent chapters? I like how Komatsu and the secondary characters are getting an arc all to themselves, and that there's going to finally be a cooking competition between chefs in the series. I'm also looking forward to when Sunny, Coco, and Zebra get their own arcs (I'm assuming they will), since they could all use some more focus and development.

I've been going through your Gintama and Manga Corner podcasts, primarily. I suppose I'd say I find the latter my favorite because of the broad amount of topics and series you guys discuss. I need to listen to more of your Toriko and Detective Conan podcasts, since I'm a huge fan of those series as well, and you guys seem to have a refreshingly more optimistic opinion about where Toriko is at these days than a certain other manga podcast I listen to. ^^
