ahh me and my friends started watching boys over flowers together and we cannot take it seriously LOL all the scenes are so embarrassing and funny to watch. and OMG yeah gakuen alice is like MHA, but like a kids version with presence of romance. the ''quirks'' are rlly unique as well. overall it's a nice story :) I'm planning to watch serial experiments lain as well, and chainsaw main is very funny so far. i love the main character, denji as well. and yes I have a tiktok! my user is mindookie, and my personal ig is mindy.nguyenl. feel free to talk to me anytime, and I don't mind if u spam me with tiktok or if posts/edits

Nice! Was it a thrift store find? I've been surprised by some of the stuff I've found at Goodwill. Kodocha I had to look up on ebay. I also have a dedicated anime/manga store nearby with a good selection of used stuff, it's always cool finding something that's out of print. I see someone below recommended Gakuen Alice, and I haven't read the manga yet (definitely will) but I can recommend the anime.

hii omg im glad u like it sm, i was so happy when I found out they're the same voice actor as kyp and tohru's voice actor cause I love them sm. I DIDNT KNOW THAT THERE'S A KODOCHA DVD COMING OUT THAT'S SO EXCITING. I'm prob not gonna get it tho cause I don't have money.... but yesssss. i hope u watch the dub eventually cause I personally love sana's dub idk her voice suits her so well and I love the humor they have in the dub. i just wished they finished it tho... ALSO THAT IS A RLLY LUCKY FIND, I don't often go to bookstores but I know for sure that kodocha isn't rlly shelved there... I'm glad u were able to find some and can read physically as the manga is different than the anime. 35 is such a good price too like wtf. I'm doing great too thanks for asking!! recently I've been watching seasonals like horimiya, sk8, kemono jihen, and aot final season and watching other stuff like gintama and katekyo hitman reborn. i havent had a lot of time to binge watch cause of school, but I'm slowly but surely watching a couple eps every now and then :)) i also started reading chainsaw and have been reading the manga of my childhood anime called gakuen alice. its rlly good, if u like kodocha u might like gakuen alice. wbu? also do u have a discord or twitter, I would love to talk to u more

hey, it's nice to see another Kodocha fan.

i enjoyed it a lot, it was a childhood anime for me. personally I rlly liked the development between sana's and akito's relationship as they go through issues together. i love sana's personality as well. as for the anime, its rlly lighthearted and funny but it will reach those deep, serious moments that aren't so light hearted anymore which you will eventually get into. but other than that it was a rlly well developed anime in my opinion. it just sucks that there's sadly no dub for the 2nd half of the anime.. i also recommend reading the manga as well!

Isn't it incredible that some series, as you mentioned with Kuzu no Honkai in your last comment (back in late May - heh, I got stuck in a time vortex as is prone to happen), have so much content, so many details, events, and twists and turns that you feel like you've experienced an entire world in the span of what is, in the big picture, quite a short series? I started a thread on this in the Anime Discussion sub-forum recently, but it never ceases to amaze me how some 11 - 13 episode series I come away thinking how the premise was fantastic but they were so rushed and could have been so much better of an experience if they were much longer and more detailed, and yet other series of the same length work perfectly within the confines of the 11 - 13 episode format and end up taking you on a mental and emotional journey greater than some series with many dozens of episodes.

I've gone through a number of series in the past several weeks. Have you watched anything recently you'd consider to be of note? Also, if I recall correctly, you're still in California, right? I ask because it seems like you might be headed toward another lockdown since they announced all the Los Angeles area schools in southern California are moving strictly to online/virtual instruction at the beginning of the next school year (I assume in September, but I know some states begin in August and universities usually begin in August). And it's been widely circulating that Los Angeles city and Los Angeles County may face imminent stay-at-home orders.
