Ah bruh..Pandora hearts anime actually came in the middle of the manga and ....(In 2009 if i remember correctly.. and PH manga ended in 2015 waaay after the anime ended in 2010...)and its ending is.....well nevermind considering the no 1 eveidence in such things holds no meaning for you....
Well It does certainly seem like, you are unable to point out what exactly is wrong tbh... other then the fact that its confusing maybe which a complicated tale is most of the time....
But anyways have a good day/night ahead..
(And you can simply say it wasnt my cup of tea..thats actually understandable in comparison)

About Alice first
I would like you to recall the events in which it was revealed that oz was the rabbit. Alice didnt regain her memories just by looking at white Alice..it was much more then that.
A little explanation...
First Duke barma explained everything infront of them(Alice was present there) and considering oz, jack and Alice are connected, alot of things between him and ALice were shared(THe memories for example). Other then that, originally her memories were scattered at different places(Abyss) so when she retured to the core after what transpired her scattered memories came together as she longer borrowed the b rabbits power and her soul recovered
To elaborate further oz was slowly gaining his powers back, ALice memories became less jumbeled and it goes without saying that Jack was mainly to blame for the manipulation of their memories and once he came out as who he actually was, he could no longer manipulate the memories.

I would like to elaborate even further but i think this might be enough considering i want to keep it as comprehensive as possible
About Glen and Lacie...Before diving into that
A comprehensive description regarding baskerville
Baskervilles are children choosen by abyss(Mostly the children with red eyes and their siblings) The process is through golden specks of light which is basically the original abyss(THe place bathed in golden light) ANd since abyss is an alternative supernatural dimension connected with the real world(And considering changes in both places effect each other), there are certain rights granted only to those children especially the ones with red eyes(Who are directly connected with the abyss)
However certain misconceptions regarding them(Children with red eyes) is put into the noble families by the "jury" as the children of misfortune are a threat to them(AS they can hurt them and change their depictions). Juries are basically story observers who for the sake amusement derive a tale through their methods and simply observe(Though their plans get shattered when Break intervines). In other words manipulaters...
So A practice is started with lacie in which the sibling baskerville without the red eye was suppose to throw the child of misfortune(Which is a misconception regarding the noble families) to prevent Disorder( a misconception) so Lacie and Glen were discovered and were simply the part of that practice in the baskerville House. not the choosen ones...Lacie was maybe because she was purely connected deeply both worlds...and that itself is a huge reason on its on if i explain it further
ANd about your take on bad writing..There is a reason why a complex series is refered to as COMPLEX(Not to mention i havent encountered a single complex series in which some individuals dont complain about it being "hard to digest"ergo proxy and kara no kyouai being the classic examples) and even then, personally speaking, it only took me 1 read to understand all of it... (I know others who also didnt require a reread as well though you do discover new things while rereading pandora hearts)not to mention its a drip feed rather then messy considering every event is connected with another...And thats what good writing is..Discovering new things while Experiencing it again...and not all series are complex...(Since this is a tradition to make something look better..)
ABout lack of forshadowing...Okay Elaborate....

Naruto is NOT praised By arakawa, actual critcs, yuki kaijura and several other highly acclaimed mangakas or composers....(The themes are another factor though and going by that, its themes are good to say the least)
Infact most of the naruto fandom comprised of 13 to 15 year olds and i rarely encounter anyone who refers to it as a masterpiece..

ABout your take on it could be better, i believe you would just remove the drip feed? which is actually the writing style of the series?(Still I am wondering how the artstyle is bad....not even sharing the best panel) No offence but your experience in literature is kinda lacking for a critcism....

edit Baby naruto? seriously? like how can you even compare a well planned series with a repititve one?

Regarding your pandora hearts Reviews
First The abyss and the baskervillies were completely explained by the end(You might just missed all that... you can even search or i can provide a detailed explanation myself)
ALso i would like to hear about the plot holes because as far as that is concerned, there were none(As everything was explained and covered but for that understanding the worldbuilding is necessary)..
Also the characters changing their views is actually forshadowed and expected especially after giving us a glimpse of their psychological states so many times over and over(And if you take all their situations into account)
So no offence, you should atleast provide the reasons..
especially considering the twists are built from the start and are not there purely for shock value...Art is subjective though so no comment on that(But still kinda astonished)
SO in conclusion it felt more like you were confused and didnt caught the gist of what transpired in the story(You review sounded like that atleast)
Not attacking you but i would like to clear alot of misconceptions which I believe you might (There is a reason why it is praised by big names in the industry such as yuki kaijura and several highly acclaimed mangakas...)
ANd sorry if it came out as offensive though

Hello, don't worry about it. I'm busy with a lot of things so I understand replying late. I can see why the story seems far-fetched. I think that Yuuichi was never fine with what happened with Punpun and his wife. There was never a scene where Yuuichi and his wife talking about it, just him and Punpun discussing it. While Yuuichi has some problems mentally, he's mature enough to know that it wasn't Punpun's fault and that he was raped. Yuuichi didn't seek Punpun immediately and only talked to him when he felt the timing was right, so that meant that Yuuichi had more time to think about what happened and just decided to be lenient with Punpun since he was still a kid then.

As for the ending, I think continuing to live rather than killing himself was a more relatable ending than the lover's suicide cliché it could have ended. Failing a suicide is actually really relatable, but I guess that's subjective. Punpun was still portrayed as a bird even at the end so it still implies being aloof from the rest of his social group. He was still suffering and that trauma will still stay with him for the rest of his life. So with that, I think Punpun won't be living normally per se.

But yeah, I can still see why it wouldn't be that relatable, especially with Pegasus' story being prominent.

I think people put too much thought into the good vibrations arc due to the supernatural aspect of the story, but instead of trying to find deeper meaning or symbolism from that part of the story, it's better to look at it more literally. To put it simply, Punpun is divided into two major genres; shounen and seinen. Punpun and Aiko's story being the seinen, and Pegasus' story being the shounen. Even though the manga as a whole isn't classified as a shounen, that was what Inio Asano was trying to do as said in his interview after Punpun finished serializing.

Of course, they aren't two separate stories in the manga, they have a significant relationship. Pegasus' group was actually doing what they intended to do, the ultimate goal of saving the earth from ending. Inio Asano mentioned that in the end, they stopped a meteor from impacting the earth (which was unfortunate for Punpun and Aiko since they wanted that to happen). Inio sees Pegasus as a protagonist actually, someone who is the polar opposite of Punpun.

I understand why people might not like that part of the story but I think it fits in. My only complaint was that there was too much focus on the story.

I didn't find the interview I've read before but I did find the same interview here if you want to check it out: Interview

Hello again! I was browsing through Punpun reviews and surprised to see you there. You said that you'd give it an 8.5 (guess you rounded it to a 9), but I noticed that you've rated it a 10. Have you gained a better understanding of the story?

You also mentioned that there were some parts in the manga that was difficult to grasp like the cult, I'm assuming it was the good vibrations arc. I'd love to enlighten you with my understanding of that part if you don't mind.
Hypokrites Jun 13, 2021 3:07 AM
You're right. The first two volumes made me place my expectations too high for the rest of the story but just ended up getting disappointed. You've hit the right spots on your review though so amazing job!

based log horizon review. glad someone realize log horizon always play around "world building" rather just full action and op things like other isekai.

i read your review (seven deadly sins) and i have to say that i disagree in some points. story isn't complicated, and usually i cant keep up with complicated stories, also the story goes well, at the start it was little bad because of gowther but after with the backstories and the fights it satisfied me. Art is marvelous especially in the 19th episode but yes the art was poor done in the new episode although i loved the animation. the ost, the ops, the ends, the va are incredible. i love all the characters and it is hard to dislike one of them, and they are all well developed.

saw ur review on Seven Deadly Sins, I love the show to death and its one of my favorites, but yea the past couple episodes have definitely felt weaker than they should've been, also todays episode especially felt super lacking as the plot progression was fine, but the action was like...not even action...way too rushed. Hopefully they end the season at least on a good note and make the cliffhanger good and end it with a bang to redeem itself a little.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
