So what did you think of Knight's & Magic? Especially its main character.
Master10K Oct 16, 2015 12:39 PM
Hai to Gensou no Grimgar looks to be a rather interesting anime, to kick off next year...

Just wondering.

are you a shounen filler freak

Well I tend to marathon my anime at the end of the season (what I'm doing with
Shingeki no Bahamut today), so I haven't started any off the new ones. But out of all the new anime that have start, I am keeping an eye on:
- Assassination Classroom
- Saenai Heroine no Sodate-kata
- Death Parade
- And all the sequels I need to continue...

Wait, did Tenchi have an actually fight? All I remember is him fumbling around with his sword, against that robot. I don't consider that an actual fight, unless there's one I don't remember...

Eitherway I watched once a week in 4 episode chunks and also skipped every single re-cap episode. Honestly what was the point of them?

Glad I wasn't the only one who managed to finish the new Tenchi Muyo spin-off series. You also find it underwhelming?

Wow, someone actually did this... 172 Onii-samas :D

Yeah, I read a lot of western novels but I find it difficult to get motivated to read a novel series. I'd have to be really bored to do that and for now I'm channelling that boredom into trying out visual novels. But thanks for the recommendation, however not sure if I see myself reading an epic fantasy novel. I find them much more difficult to get immersed into such a would, than I would with urban fantasies or sci-fi novels.

So have you made any progress on the SAO novels, or are you just sitting on them for now?
Master10K Jul 29, 2013 4:44 AM
Not much of a difference between reading a light novel and a typical novel, just that some light novels tend to be... well... lighter (shorter/ light on content).

Well in this case the good thing is that you're already familiar with the plot, setting & characters, so it'll be fairly easy for you to get into it. Only problem is that you'll have to read it of some screen. However I recently re-read it of my Samsung S4, which was much better than reading it off my laptop.

I enjoyed SAO too but I find the light novels to be much better than the anime. The anime skipped over so much from the Aincrad arc and other other arcs haven't been animated yet.

The fan-translated light novels are available on Baka-Tsuki, however you can download most of the pdf files here from BeginnerXP.

The main problem with the light novels is that it's not really in chronological order. Well if you only want to read the bits that the anime skipped then here's what you do...
- Go to Volume 8 and read "First Day"
- Go to Side Stories and read all the side stories besides "Caliber SS" (not canon).
- Then go back to Vol.8 and read "Caliber"
- Now you can start reading the volumes normally from "Vol.5 - Phantom Bullet"

Also the current arc the of SAO ligh novels, the "Alicization Arc", is looking to be a long one. Pretty good as well.

So you enjoy Sword Art Online. Have you thought about reading the Light Novels, since those actually progress the storyline?
