共鳴 (kyoumei): resonance between things. / sympathy between persons.
The term, 共鳴 for native persons, they never use it with feelings of pity or the like. Basically, you can use it when you are in sympathy with someone's ideal or with someone's lofty purpose.
ex)
WRONG: 彼女の悲しみに共鳴した/ I kyoumei-ed her sorrow.
WRONG: 彼のごはんを食べたいという意思に共鳴した / I kyoumei-ed his will to eat a meal.
CORRECT: 私は彼の新しい国を作る意思に共鳴した / I kyoumei-ed his will to build a new nation.
Honestly, Nagi Asu was the biggest mess of unrequited feelings I've ever watched. In terms of Love dodecahedrons, nothing I've watched really compares to that. I'd say the closest one was probably Ano Hana, but even that was pretty much just a pentgon, lol.
I dunno, love polygons aren't really my thing. Kokoro Connect was quite good, maybe you'd wanna check that out :)
