Yup the manga is great as well. And the present arc as well as the previous arc are the best arc of Gintama. Sorachi Hideaki ha ditched the random arc style and opted for a concrete story instead. Indeed all the previous arcs felt like a preparation of these arcs. And it feels like Gintama has barely started. And the manga has a great art, good background as well. And now the arcs are not short anymore, they are long and has really deep story with really deep background. Right now among the ongoing ones I would say Gintama is the best. Even op's dressrossa arc shied away.. Give it a try.. You will not regret. And I don't know when it will be made into anime..

Besides Gintama manga has a totally different feel to it. You will find out..

Well you will enjoy them as Mushishi is one of your favorites.

Yup Gintama is great, especially some of it's arcs like yoshiwara, red spider, shinsengumi crisis are some of the best arcs in shounen. They are super serious. And enchousen was awesome.. Just awesome.. Each arc of enchousen was great.

You know what I like about gintama, The arcs are so small it conveys so much deep story. Consider Housen, Jiraiya, Jirocho they were there for only 4 or 5 episodes but they feel complete and totally epic. And Gintoki is probably the coolest guy I have ever come across in anime. I am not that big fan of parody and sometimes they become too crude for my taste but it is the most hilarious anime I have seen. I even fall down from my chair laughing..

Are you reading gintama manga?

Yup there are really few that are unforgettable. My favorite genre is slice of life. It has given me anime I treasure most like Aria, Kino no tabi, Mushishi, Natsume, Nana.. This genre is truly versatile. And in ongoing series I like one piece and gintama. I read op manga though, not really a fan of the anime. The manga feels better with gorgeous art and brilliant background. And now gintama [manga] is going awesome. Especially the present arc. I prefer the anime too. Haven't watched the present arc yet though..
Especially the arcs of op are really satisfying the way they end..

That pretty much applies to me too. Romance can be horrible if not correctly done. I have not seen maid sama, though it is in my ptw list. And I kinda don't like romcom though I can't say I have seen many. Probably a bias. I like josei. Like Nana, Chihayafuru, Nodame Cantabile. In these series romance is serious, very carefully crafted and there's a really good plot too.

Yona is like jack of all trades. They included everything, like romance action adventure. The story lacks depth. Seirei no moribito was beautifully executed. They kept it simple and never diverted from the spirits, so I would say. And the subtle romance and a feel of family is awesome too in seirei no moribito.

I understand why yona is popular though, it was made to be popular and included almost everything. Nowadays it is very rare that someone would watch 110 episodes of logh or some really long anime. People who watch mostly the ongoing series want short series with good flashy animation and some action with some emotional moments. Yona ticks all the right boxes here. But to us this is not enough.

Saw your comment in Akatsuki no yona. And I do agree with you. Seirei no Moribito is a better anime in every respect. I picked up yona because after watching the first episode, I felt it got a moribito feel to it. But that didn't last long.

Ohai, nothing really I suppose.

oh didn't notice, haha. well to begin with i loved the art, but the story took an unforgivable turn towards slaughtering the coolness of all characters, so at the end, after watching all episodes it left me with a bad feeling of the main characters having bad judgment calls. they saw the problem in the world and solved it utterly retarded.
