Blood-C is not a sequel of Blood+, it's a totally new retelling of the Blood franchise which started from the movie Blood The Last Vampire. Neither Blood+ is a sequel of the movie, also another retelling.
Blood-C is created by CLAMP hence the Blood x CLAMP or Blood-C monicker, if you have watched or read other CLAMP works then you will understand their style.
Hiii. Well, Blood-C is not a sequel but I understand as a Blood+ fan we wanted a connection that unfortunately is not there. They should have just been creative and continue where the story left off.

I see you don't mention how the pacing has gone to snail level in Naruto or how you don't mind how everybody is ressurected like in Dragonball all the time. Not helpful.
