Hey, glad to hear you liked the recommendations, I'll be interested to hear if they pan out. Yeah Tanoshii muumin ikka is definitely a weird one, you can read my comments on it if you want a bit more information, basically it is a cult classic here in Finland where I live, I have to imagine 90% of people here have a positive opinion of the show, but yeah it is just a genuinely well made anime.

"watch the bad shows to know what's good" Haha, I mean there is a kernel of truth in that, watching bad shows will make you appreciate the good ones more, also you might find some redeeming qualities in the badness, just because a show is bad doesn't mean everything about it sucks. Tbh I don't know if Lucky star is a "bad show", I was bored out of my mind when I tried watching it in the past but I have seen a couple of entertaining clips from it on youtube, if nothing else the main character Konata is extremely cute and at the end off the day the only reason you're watching lucky star is for the cute girls. In the world of slice of life I think it should be at least mediocre.

Thank you for the reccomendations, I have literally never heard of a single one of these shows XD I mean I have tangentially heard some of the names but nothing in terms of specifics, I guess I will start with APFTTU next time when there is an anime lull, I saw its literally your highest rated anime so I have to imagine I will at least find it passable. I honestly have a complicated relationship with CGDCT, on one hand I don't mind it, on the other hand I have a really hard time maintaining interest in a show that is only CGDCT, sometimes I end up really enjoying it like in nichijou because of the comedy, other times I lose interest like with dagashi kashi (well I don't know if dagashi kashi is technically a CGDCT show but if its not that I don't really know what it is, just regular slice of life I guess). When it comes to SOL for me it is imperative that there is some kind of theme or narrative, like how bakuman is about making manga, it really doesn't have to be much, just so long as the characters have stuff to talk about that is not just daily life activities is enough (well that's the minimum anyway). Just recently I watched Fune wo Amu which I thought was a really good SOL about writing a dictionary.

Planning to watch Ippo huh? Hmm, well like you said, it is in my favourites, a very elite club (not even being a 10 guarantees a spot in there). For starters Hajime no Ippo is an incredible sports manga. If you've seen a couple of sports manga you kinda know what the genre is about, it's kind of like the action variant of slice of life, I think more than most genres, sports mangas live and die by their character writing. Hajime no Ippo has really good character writing, I would say something like 75% of the characters in the series are memorable to some degree. The fact that Hajime no Ippo is a long running series really lets this aspect shine, with some of the characters you really get to see them change and grow in interesting ways. So that's half of what makes it good. The other half is the hype to put it bluntly. Some sports series are dragged down a little bit by how mundane the sport in question is e.g. chihayafuru, Hajime no Ippo is about boxing, a sport which seems tailor made for a sports anime narrative. The synergy is amazing, you get these intense 10 episode matches where you get to observe the combatants every emotion, every little moment step by step. A sport like baseball for example is often quite abbreviated when it comes to anime, there's too much happening at any given time, you only get the highlights, in boxing you really get to focus on the two people on the ring. And of course, when it comes down to it boxing is just fighting with certain rules, I don't think I need to explain how fighting can generate hype moments. I will say, I think Hajime no Ippo strikes an incredible balance between realism and dramatization, it's not 100% realistic but it is just believable enough, just on the edge. That is perfect, it really makes the boxers and their techniques feel powerful but you always maintain the feeling that these are humans made out of flesh and blood practicing a sport. Some other shows like say Kuroko no basuke take it too far imo, it's cool for a while seeing what crazy abilities each player has but it is really hard to take the more grounded aspects seriously, which is kind of important in a sports anime. So yeah, in short, it is just a really well made sports anime that just keeps getting better and better the more you watch. Just as a word of warning, some of the fights can drag on a little bit in the earlier seasons, the older seasons are quite old and you probably already know, many old anime are not optimized for good pacing. Nevertheless, I maintain that this is an incredible series that is worth experiencing.

Hey man, sorry for the late reply. Hope you have been well.

All good - I took a sizeable break from MAL. Life is bleugh sometimes. ALSO, I enjoy quotes in my replies now because it helps my dumb brain organize things.

Hehe that's fair. What animes would you say have a strong full cast?

I probably already said Frieren, but it's a highlight of why I love that series. Goblin Slayer isn't a cream-of-the-crop by any means but I do love its cast regardless. AoT had a solid lineup, Clannad is of course a personal favorite.. thinking back on it, a huge hold back for most romance anime, at least in my eyes, is they can't build a strong cast to save their existence. I get they have to focus on the main characters/duo, that makes sense. But when they have supporting cast it so, so often feels as though they were put there almost exclusively for plot progression or to highlight something about the main duo. I dislike how romances so frequently fail to cultivate characters which are strong outside of the direct situations they're put in, too. But that's just my two cents.

Ooh interesting, which anime was this? And what was your general rating/opinion?

It was called "My New Boss is Goofy", a seasonal which technically isn't a BL, but like, the vibe is there y'know? I liked that you had these guy characters that could just be weird and wacky around each other and you could just accept that and move through it regardless.

Especially when watching some of my favorite anime and then something silly happens and my mind goes "that's dumb", but I consciously try to ignore it lol. You'll see when you do watch it :]

I get you! Like how often can a piece of media be 'perfect', anyway? It's a big reason I almost never hand out 10s and I can respect when someone rarely/never does, because that pursuit of perfection is A) practically unattainable in its own right, and B) so individualized by person to person that, how often can you really 100% adore something in the first place?

Do you know any?

It's such a specific encounter I can't recall any off the top of the head, aside from Super Cub, either! But what was the change in AoT you mentioned? Now I'm curious. :p

Have you ever imagined writing or written a story?

I've written quite the pile of short stories, actually! A lot of it is fan fiction, which for whatever reason is the only time I'll actually engage is erotic fiction weirdly enough, but plenty is original writing. A piece my friends apparently loved told the story of a chicken being lined up for the slaughterhouse. Little stuff like that. At the end of the day you should write!!! 99% of it won't see the light of day, but that doesn't matter in the slightest. The point is you're expressing yourself and your ideas, and trust me, even your crappy work is worth writing.

Do you buy a bit of anime merch?

Not frequently, but here and there. I have a figurine from when I first got back into it, but that and the shirt are probably the only things I have? Not sure. I've drawn a few pictures solely for myself to enjoy. How about you - do you buy much/any merch?

Ofc I can't expect everyone to think the same, but thats just me

I like what you said here. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions on what makes a show good, right, and sometimes it's just hard to articulate why it is we enjoy those certain things. I do think, like you said, so much of it has to do with those preferences/values/sentimental value. A personal example I can think of is Kill La Kill. For most of the show I really did debate giving it a 6 because I was like, oh, this is all flashy and fanservice and such. But later on when it dumps more plot and lore on you and you can begin to see the significance behind its actions and relating those actions to its core themes, it just gets SO much better IMO. So, stuff like that. :)

If you had lists what would it look like? Also what is your processing like when choosing MAL favorites?

Hmm... I gots to think on this. But I like the categories regardless. From my current favs,

Best Quality:
Frieren
Serial Experiments Lain
Azumangah Daioh

Personal Preferences:
Clannad (SHOCKER)
Kill La Kill
Frieren
Lain
Azumanga Daioh
Super Cub
My Clueluess First Friend

Y'know, I realize I basically just said "here are the ones I really love despite recognizing their innate story/design isn't the best", but whatever. I stand by my preferences. I would argue the Clannad VN has a lot going for it and is overall an excellent quality piece of media, which is most of the reason I also love the anime so much.

That's pretty cool! Can I ask which convenience store franchise it is and how it came to be?

They operate a Sinclair store, originally there years upon years ago as a mechanic shop, and my grandpa turned it into a C-store then franchised with Sinclair and well, here we are. It's my second home, love it or hate it.

So yeah how's the hospital you're currently at? Is it good? And have you gotten outdoors yet?

The hospital itself isn't too bad! Very underserviced community in terms of public health and it shows... but work is okay in general. And I have been able to get some! Though I did recently mess up my foot, and given I have a significant past history with a motor vehicle accident it was a doozy for a while. But Now I'm back at it! Even today I'm planning to head out in like an hour to visit a friend down south, so I'm looking forward to that.

It is thanks, but it's really busy and my ADHD is not helping me, I get distracted easily (tbh one of the reasons why this reply took so long :,>)

I getchu, it happens. I remember fighting through research classes and being unmedicated for that sort of thing... ugh. I feel you. Best of luck for finishing it out!

Welcome, I like how the story changes depending on which movie you watch first. This is the only anime I have seen that has such a unique aspect. The first time I watched it, I Watched the blue one, then the red one. Later, I discovered that the story changes depending on the viewing order. So, I watched it again, this time starting with the red one. I found that one of the orders is sadder than the other. In one word, it was amazing!

Thanks, I try to/am interested in watching a lot of different genres :D

I started watching Pop Team Epic because it reminded me of asdfmovie - yeah sometimes the anime is a little bit to random, but idc ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. I watched the sub and switched between the male and female voice actors.

PS: Your profile is fine as is :D

Ah, I didn't realize you were doing it too :) Our tastes seem quite different but I will have a little look to see if there is something I could learn from your list:) Personally I don't struggle with the writing that much cause I have always had an aptitude for writing, or at the very least I have had many unrelated people in my life tell me that:)

Yes that is true, for some genres it does not matter as much. The problem is mostly when it's something important that happens inn the story that I want to comment on, sometimes I hold it in like in my mujun rasen notes because I want as many people to experience it first hand, other times I go for it and just write what's on my mind.

Oh sure, I'll give you some recommendations, I enjoy thinking about it, it's almost like a puzzle. Hmmm, so looking at your highest rated shows I am seeing some shounen but mostly cute girls, romance and drama. I have to admit I haven't seen a lot of the shows in your top 50 so I may not be able to get it spot on but here's what I got.

1)Full metal panic: I noticed you already have it in your plan to watch, I expect that you are going to like this one, there's a good mix of cute girls, shounen, drama and action in this one, and the sequel is even better in my opinion :)

2) So I was looking to recommend something that leans more into the cute girls. My first thought was dragon maid but you already watched it (I can't get enough of that s1 ending XD). Second thought was Lucky star but I haven't seen it to be sure, I think you will probably like it but I have also heard that it is very mundane to the point of being hard to watch... Well consider that a soft reccomendation. For my actual recommendation I want to introduce you to Houseki no kuni. It is a bizarre and fantastical story about a group of girls that are made out of gems and minerals. I have no doubt it will fill you with wonder :)

3)For the last reccomendation I wanted to try to find something you might not normally watch that may nevertheless appeal to you. I think I've got just the thing "Tanoshii muumin ikka". It's an old childrens show that you would probably never watch without my recommendation, but I think it is absolutely worth watching. I think you will enjoy the calm, mysterious and whimsical world of muumin, they don't make 'em like this anymore.

I hope I gave you some good reccomendations. If you want to return the favour and give me some as well I would be more than happy to oblige :)
Anjuro May 2, 11:29 AM
Thank you! I am glad to hear someone is getting value out of them. They are not reviews or anything but usually I will talk about most of the things that stood out to me which paradoxically is kind of what people want anyway when deciding whether something is worth watching rather than a review. I go back and forth whether or not to keep them spoiler free to keep them better suited as recommendations or just talk about everything but right now I just try to strike a balance :)

lol I feel you sm! I couldn’t tell you how many unfinished anime I’m currently watching I don’t even log them on here til I’m done or my watching list would be insane.

my priority currently is to try and clear a lot of them out as I’m one or two eps away from finishing a bunch of shows, some I started genuinely over a year ago hahaha. I go through phases of watching a bunch and actually have been watching more than usual lately but then I’ll fall off for a month or so
what’s the top priority show for you rn??

hey you’re right girls & panzer has an awesome premise I just read the synopsis so that’s def piqued my interest lol thanks!! plus I’ll steer clear of dolls frontline now too :)
I love a unique take on dystopian stories, so the premise of Heavenly Delusion and also Shinsekai Yori appealed to me and I loved both executions!

it’s for that reason actually that I’m so interested in the Train to the End of the World because I’m hoping, as you said, there’s going to be a “turn” in the tone—but even if it doesn’t get dark like say Shinsekai Yori did then I’m still so interested in the premise and hope it’s executed well—I loved how trippy the first ep was but still haven’t watched past that lol

Thanks, had some pizza and cake with a family member.

I think DBZ fits that criteria. Sure, it hasn't aged well. Sure, it can be cringy. But it's still fun and memorable. Code Geass, in hindsight, wasn't as streamlined and serious, but is still an anime I hold in high regard. After all, it was THE anime which threw me into the anime world full-time.
Which is strange! What happened to your taste in romcom and harem? Maybe it's the poor writing as you mentioned for the QQ special?
Regarding Lucky Star, I was new to anime at the time, so a lot of the references went over my head. After rewatching it many many many years later and getting all the references, the pacing was... off. I liked the dynamic between Konata and Kagami, but I just didn't find it funny. It just felt like a commentary. Make an anime reference, debate, laugh, move on. That was it. And for a 24 minute long episode, 4koma manga can't be fitted in without some changes to the pacing. That's my gripe with it.

Hey! I have a decimal point system too, mind you! AND COME ON! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?! ARIA IS LOVE! ARIA IS LIFE!

Everyone has been reccing me Bocchi. I even downloaded it, but my schedule is just such a mess right now. Believe me. xD

2028?! I have to wait THAT LONG?!

Yeah... I feel you. For me, AoT topped till S3. I dunno why, but the Marley Arc (S4) and beyond felt like a different story. The stakes seemed unncecessarily high, the grey morality was becoming more black an white, and Eren's character growth was unexpected in the wrong way. Becoming a villain is fine, but Eren's reasons felt weak. Also, Eren had a penchance for violence and aggression, so becoming a villain made more sense. As for the paths, I always thought they were something a bit more philosophical, not an actual thing. 😅
For me, AoT was a bloody fantastic anime till S3. While they were within the walls, things made a whole lot of sense. And these were the characters you grew and cared for! Afterwards, it felt too rushed and, dare I say, muddled (Levi was sidelined. Mikasa and Armin became muted. Hange was good though. Gabi was infutiating. All the new characters? Can't invest myself in them.). S3 was a solid 9. S4 was a 6. The ending was a 4. So yeah. I rarelt share my thought on AoT for a variaty of reasons. 😅

Focus on your studies, son! Anime can wait!
And yeah. I did fall asleep on some occasions across HxH. My cousins hated it, while I liked it. And he who dislikes Aria is a heretic, so there's that. :P

Fair enough. And I liked Haikyuu! It's one of the best new sports anime. The music is amazing. I'm certain you'll like the OST from S2 and S3. The characters are also fun to watch. My favourite is Ryuuunosuke Tanaka. S4 (To the Top) was a bit meh, but the story afterwards in the manga picks up pace fast and ends on a very high note. I think it deserves much of the praise it gets.

You're better off not knowing. xD
Really? You'd do that for me? :,)
Also, speaking of Hitler and therapy, here's a cursed image I found online. And you're welcome! :3

How much money should I save for the therapy? :P

Thank God there are others with worse scores than me. 😅
"Normie", you mean. :P
I'm a tad relieved you're putting me in the middle of the pack, you know?

I'll pick up Squid Girl soon then. :D
Yeah, that''s the answer I was looking for. I think that pay is a major issue and the narrowing of anime to specific marketable genres like battle shounen. Now, I feel studios prioritise visuals far more than anything else. :/

Rant ahead, son!
Exactly, though that's also a criticism levied against SoL. :(

Oh come on! Don't be so scared. I watched all of them till the end. Sure, I did have seizures and at times started laughing maniacally, but I came out alive in one piece. They're not THAT bad!
I'll be marathoning Hand SHakers alongside Diabolik Lovers and Mahou Sensou maybe in the summer. Wanna join me? :)

Speaking of which, I see you're still stuck on EP 21.

Sounds like it. Take Bleach for example. I remember many scenes from the original and also recognise the characters. TYBW is good, but it comes off flat. I swear, I remember nothing. The same problem is with JJK and CSM.
To be honest, I didn't enjoy DS all that much. The first season was alright. I liked the fight between Tanjiro and the drum demon. After Rengoku's death, I felt less invested. As for visuals, true. They're gorgeous. Ufotable makes amazing animation.
My favourite shounen? Definitely FMAB. Short and sweet story and very memorable characters.
Apart from that, I also really liked One Piece, Death Note, and Rurouni Kenshin (currently watching).

Not me, but my dad's side of the family has produced many soldiers and military officers. I myself got rejected on health grounds.
As for their experiences, my gramps fought in WWII and Korean War, and my dad fought in the Soviet-Afghan War. My uncle fought in the Gulf War. What I understood from them were the horrors on the battlefield. Most of all, when soldiers retire and return to civilian life, they have a very difficult time adjusting due to the stark differences in lifestyles.

BOOOOOOOO!!!!! The narrow and straight path is boring! You need to venture out more! After all, suffering breeds character and character breeds strength. :3
Well, not showing them these things at a very young age makes sense. Kids get scared. I think after the age of 7, it can make sense. 😅
But HEY! I'll make sure EX-ARM be the first anime they watch. xD
I actually listen to Jordan Peterson a lot. His content is definitely eye-opening. There are some political opinions of his I disagree with, but he's a good guy overall. I also listen to people like Noman Ali Khan, though his lectures can be a bit hard to digest at times. I also like Indy Neidell (famous for his WWI and WWII channels).

I KNOW! DON'T RUB IT IN! I just HAD to fall sick on one of the most important days! -_-
Wait, driver's license? How do you commute these days?
As for resolutions, it's basivally work on a few businesses I have in mind. Also work with my mom in her school. Apart from that, work a lot more on my anger issues and emotional intelligence in general.

Well, I grew up in a secular household. Even though my neighbours were Jewish and introduced me to Judaism, I waskinda indifferent to religion in general. When I moved back to Pakistan, I was given more exposure to Islam. My mom also became religious. And I had some teenage issues and stuff like that. Since people around me didn't help much, I just had a random thought in my mind and decided to give religion a try. That eventually made me Muslim, so yeah (also the fact that I found it the most similar to Judaism). 😅

As for what I found from my studies, there's a huge distinction between Abrahamic and Eastern religions, so there's that. So much so that the concept of a deity is something much more abstract and less central in Eastern religions. In a way, they lean a bit agnostic. Secondly, having read more on religious laws, Shariah became far less stringent than I expected. As for Christianity, I found so many different sects of it that I was legit amazed by its development.

And whoa! That's impressive. And I can understand the lack of attendance. How's it faring for you now? Has the practice improved? :)
H-A-M-M-Y Apr 22, 10:27 AM
Didn't many players protest these changes? Sure, it'll bring newer players in, but won't this prize system be difficult to implement?
Oh some now! Stop being such a stick in the mud! Just practice and pray! I'm certain you'll be fine. :D

.... Doesn't this crash sound like a weird lottery? Also, it sounds so.... anticlimactic. Like, the kid won cuz of a glitch?
And your dream becomes much easier to achieve that way, right? :)
Sadly, no. As a kid, I did dream of becoming the first Asian US president, but then I realised that I'm ineligible. There went that dream. :,)

Rise of Nations? Isn't that relativelt new compared to Civ and AoE?

What in God's good name was that TedX? How the hell is this even allowed? WHY?!?!

Philippians 4:8-9. "Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things".
THIS. This right here should be taught in schools. Coupled with some curbs on the media, this sort of eduction is now becoming a must.

He liked WHAT?!?!

Yeah, the woke culture has been detrimental to.... literally everything. Being enlightened is one thing, but being woke is just plain wrong. Apart from the US, the trend is, I believe, worse in Canada. What I find appaling is how they shun religious education and instead shove more "liberal" education, ignoring cultural values.

So, the US is a country I have a love/hate relationship with. On one side, it's the country I spent most of my childhood and early adolescence in, so I have a soft spot for it in that way. Even now, I see myself more culturally American than Pakistani. Also, the country has some stunning scenery and just a lot of things to do there. And if you try out the right places, you'll find some truly kind and friendly people.
On the other hand, I don't like the government one bit. Be they Democrat or Republican, the hawish foreign policy in recent years has made the world worse off. In its stead, the lives of the local Americans has been only getting worse. On a more personal level, I used to get bullied like crazy for my ancestry and the recent woke trend has only been eroding the social fabric as you said. It's just very painful seeing how things are falling apart.
How about you?

In this story of the Old Testament, are you also referring to the Golden Calf and the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah? In both these stories, the Israelites had adopted many of the local practices, many of which were unjust.

This sounds eerily similar to the tribal conflicts we have across our border with Afghanistan. The exact same problems exist there. So much so that the Pashtuns are the punchline of all the jokes here.
And yeah. We've got at least 36 ethnic groups in Pakistan. Other estimates put the number over 70. The largest group are the Punjabis who make up 40% of the population. There are also Pashtuns, Sindhis, Balochis, and so on. A lot of the groups we have are shared with Afghanistan, India, and Iran. I'm myself of Arab ancestry, but I don't know any Arabic. xD

Here's a map showing the distribution of the groups:

You're on point with that comment. And well, I never liked the idea of politics, so I always steered clear from it. Here, there's a saying that goes:
"There are two professions where lies, deceit, and debauchery are hailed as virtues: politics and prostitution."

Same. My mom always mocked my cooking, so there's that. xD
Once or twice? That's it? Really?
Pfft! In my case, my mom calls me an "honorary daughter". xD

Ah. Thanks for clarifying! Just make sure to ace it!
Interesting. And which other instruments do you want to try out?
Dang! That's one close guess, so props for that! *clap clap*
I'm 27 actually. So far, all I have is a Bachelor's degree in Business and an MBA degree. :D

Oh, Soros. Yeah. I once saw him outisde of his latex skin. Filthy fat unicorns.
Hoo boy. You do know the latex industry is booming these days right? And Hollywood is a major client right? You can connect the dots from there. Those disgusting ungulates have completely ensnared us.

True that Reeves is an angel! As for determining if one's bad, I think you should listen to what others have to say about them or the scandals. Like, O'Toole was hated by his crew for being pushy and arrogant. And Depp has the cases against him. I think how one dresses also says a lot. Like, Reeves and Jackman drress modestly, sooooo....
H-A-M-M-Y Apr 22, 8:45 AM
Yo! S'up? It's me again. How've you been? :D
ANd thanks for understanding! Well, yeah. they were stressful s hell. 3 hours per exam. 2 exams per day. Oh, and no days off. And some of the exams were just..... WHO THE HELL CAME UP WITH THESE QUESTIONS?! HOW DO YOU EXPECT ME TO WRITE 12 GODFORSAKEN PAGES FOR EACH QUESTION?! Yeah, the Islamic STudies, Gender STudies, Maths, and Business exams were just traumatic to the point I nearly burst a blood vessel. 😅

And I'm better now! Apparently, it was less of a fly and more of a seasonal allergy. And dang! I'm surprised you know about that remedy too! Black tea and honey is also quite a common treatment for flus here. :3
And yeah, there are a lot of other traditional treatments. Sadly, I only know a few. There's the black tea and honey. There's also this herb called the "neem" (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Azadirachta_indica). It's hella bitter.
There's also the Kalonji oil (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nigella_sativa). It became really popular during the pandemic. Too bad it did jack and left me with a very long-term PTSD. xD

How about in PNG? What have ou guys got? :D

Hey! Your worldview is quite good! Really! Many people I've met online have a rather limited worldview.

Digicel sounds a lot like uFone due to its availability. And HOLD THE HELL UP! DIGICEL IS A PRIVATE COMPANY BASED IN JAMAICA?!
I've used Vodafone and can agree with you there. Also helps they're one of the largest providers. :D

Uh-huh. The cultural capital of Pakistan. The living conditions are alright. Things have deteriorated a bit due to the ongoing recession. Crime like robberies have seen an slight increase, but it's nowhere as bad as Karachi. It's still relatively safe as long as you don't ventrue too far into the slums. The rent is really bad these days. In fact, the cost of living has pushed rent and grocery prices through the roof.
Apart from that, the traffic and pollution levels have also worsened. This is more a South Asian problem as many cities in Pakistan, India, and Bangladesh often rank as having the worst air quality in the world. Probably a given due to the high population (Lahore has over 13 million people living in it.)
On the other hand, the city is the go-to place for education and schooling in general. Majority of the high-ranking universities and prestigious schools ar located here, so there's that. And then the food scene is another major draw to the city.

I know right?! Like, Ed's dub voice suited him much better! As for K-On, well, the characters sounded too stilted. Like here:

And then there's the Clannad dub... Nagisa sounded 20 years older than she is!

She sat through all the fillers?!
Well, sorta. I'm fluent in English and Urdu. I did learn French, German, Spanish, CHinese, Japanese, Korean, and Russian, in the past, but forgot them. And I can understand bits and pieces of Punjabi. How about you?

Huh. Well, given their track record, I can see why you'd dislike tsunderes. And any progress in finding one so far? :D
I'm surprised you share my dislike for Nino. Why do people like her? I haven't watched he later seasons. Did she mellow down or something?

I won't say I actually liked DxD. I gave it a 5. 😅
I didn't enjoy the ecchi parts, but I liked how it had a coherent story and the characters were likeable. In a similar vein, I admired the educational approach of Futari Ecchi (https://myanimelist.net/anime/382/Futari_Ecchi).
SO far, the highest score I've given to ecchi anime is 7. Only 2 got that score:
1) No Game No Life for being a good isekai overall and having competent MCs (https://myanimelist.net/anime/19815)
2) Jobless Reincarnation Season 1 Part 2 for focusing more on the adventure and the dangers that came with it (https://myanimelist.net/anime/45576)

... Yeah, these pieces of news are just downright disheartening. The Gaza War in particular has dampened my overall mood these days. I did try to participate in providing aid, but I was barred from doing so.
Yikes, it's the opposit with me. Here, I'm the one tellng my mom all the news. And she's suggested I tone it down in order to avoid becoming overly pessimistic. xD

That's interesting, but is she close to your parents? :o
Also, DEAR GOD. OK, so this is just cruel. FIrst, I admire that you share things you like. Don't ever let go of that habit. Second, I'm having a very hard time grasping why she lied to you in such a way. What was her motive to do so? Naturally, you can't trust the person after this! This can just irreparably damage relationships!

The exams were divided into 12 subjects (1st 6 are compulsory, last 6 are the ones you choose for yourself):
1) English Essay
2) English Precis and Composition
3) Islamic Studies
4) General Science and Ability (Chemistry, Physics, Biology, Environmental Sciences, Food Sciences, Computer Science, Disaspter Management, Maths, Logic, Analytics, and Critical Thinking)
5) Pakistan Affairs
6) Current Affairs
7) International Relations Part 1
8) International Relations Part 2
9) US History
10) Sociology
11) Gender Studies
12) Business Administration

It just seems even more likely now. :(
And yeah. Actually, I watch SoL to unwind and just enjoy peopleliving their daily lives. I just like seeing people content with their lives. Plus, the genre can provide some nostalgia, so there's that.

Hahaha! Reall happy to hear you're enjoying Aria. :D
I agree. I got really attached to the characters and smiled like an idiot whenever the main trio would share the screen. As for the mysteries, I wish Neo Venezia were real. :,D
Normally, after I finish an episode, I immediately jump to the next one. I think Aria was the most recent anime that I didn't do that with. I often rewound the episodes to relive the moments and such. For me, one thing the anime taught me was to take things slowly and not to be hard on yourself. Most imporantly, be positive.
Pfft! I'm the same. xD
Thankfully, Aria usually impoved my mood and I'd vibe with whatever it showed me. It was that kind of an anime.
I'm surprised by how popular Athena is. :0

And speaking of OST, the 24th track ARIA is also my favourite. I always get goosebumps and chills down my spine. It's both nostalgic and hypnotic.

Don't mention it! I'm just glad you enjoyed them! If I come across some more worthwhile SoL anime, I'll drop them to you too! And whoa. That's... honestly a high praise. I'm genuinely honoured to hear that. That really made my day, so thank you for saying that! 🙏

Well, why don't you try to make a list on your description like I have? In that, I listed Akari and Alice as my all-time favourites. :3
Funnily, although Aika and I share the same date of birth, I liked her a bit less than the other two.
Among the prima undini, Alicia is #1. Akira is #2 (love her aggressive tone). Athena is #3. Among the males, Akatsuki's the best due to his dynamic with Akari.

My very first one was Sailor Moon in my childhood, but I didn't really know about anime back then, I just knew it was a Japanese cartoon :D And my first one at a mature age was Death Note. Haha true, I've seen people who watched 1000+ anime or even several thousand, that's so many :O No, I don't have a schedule either, I just watch anime in my pace and whenever I have mood for this. Sometimes I invest more time in my other hobbies instead (like video games). I've been trying to watch anime regularly for the last 2 weeks, but I never know for how long my streak will continue XD

Ohh, Violet Evergarden is one of the most touching anime for me as well, and so is AOT, but it's because of their military subgenre in the first place with this topic being vulnerable for me. I've never heard of The Way of the Househusband before, but sounds intriguing and funny :D Thanks for the rec, I think I'll watch it one day ദ്ദി(˵ •̀ ᴗ - ˵ ) ✧ Well, except the ones I mentioned above, I feel connected with Demon Slayer and Nana, they got me pretty emotional at some points too. As for One Punch Man, I haven't watched it, but I guess I could like it too, since I did like Mashle. People say they are pretty similar and describe Mashle like as if Saitama ended up in Hogwarts XD Btw, I've finished Kaguya-sama S1 today, I liked it too, pretty excited for the next episodes :)
It’s time to ditch the text file.
