I tried posting a comment on the Licca Fansubs blog but it didn't get accepted for some reason, so I thought I'd post here. While I am admittedly sad that you're retiring from fansubbing and shutting down Licca Fansubs, I'm happy that your group put so much effort into translating anime that were never given the time of day. I had the pleasure of watching you and your group begin way back in 2010, pumping out subs like they were nothing, and putting your all into every show you worked on. Les Miserables, A Little Princess, Porphy, Annette, Perrine, some of the Magic Bus movies, and so on. If it weren't for you guys, I don't think anyone would have even known about them, and for that I thank you. Good luck in your future endeavors, and stay safe and healthy in these crazy times we're living through right now.

Are you okay? Licca Fansubs hasn't released anything new in a month, and July's practically over now. Is everything okay? I heard you health was fluctuating, so I want to make sure you're alright.

Would you ever considering subbing the rest of Katri, Girl of the Meadows now that L-E/Ushi have officially dropped it? They got 16/49 in.

"Also: downloaded the two obscure films you released. Hope they're good!"

Finally got around to watching those Magic Bus films your group released. Glass Rabbit was so much like every other JP WWII 'eyes of children' tragedy that it came across as generic. I liked Happy Birthday much more. It was, it's fair to say, on the melodramatic side but I got a lot out of seeing a young anime character grow so much in the face of such psychological cruelty. And those shots of that disabled girl? Not seen anything else like that in anime. Disturbing.

Any chance of your group subbing the other two Magic Bus movies no-one knows of, as well? Your main focus is, obviously, anime adaptations of classic literature, but if you ever run out of steam then I - if no-one else - would be keen to at least see the film about a disabled little sister (Momoko?) in English. The RAW(s) can't b TOO HARD to acquire as there's a review on MAL for one of the movies with Russian subs!

Anyway: thanks!

http://myanimelist.net/anime/16434/Penguins_Memory:_Shiawase_Monogatari Do you have a RAW for this? Seems rather interesting actually.

Wow! Amazing speed for amazing series! - I was so engrossed in watching DBZ, so didn't check out My Annette updates. Thanks to you I've got more to catch to this pure awesomeness. XD

Oh really? That group unfortunately doesn't usually go beyond the first episode, which is a shame, as I'd love to get to both that and the Osamu Dezaki series Gamba no Boken, which as a fan of that director, would love to see.

Keep up the awesome-sauce!

Yo Licca, keep up the awesome!

Thanks for subbing Tonde Buurin and Legendary Idol Eriko! Good luck with them!

Do you know if anyone is subbed Hana no ko LunLun? That's a classic shoujo series I've been curious about.

Thanks! XD ^^

Hey, just a quickie shout-out to thank you for subbing Porphy. Way back when, I was into Les Mis - totally addicted - and had to on-hold it until you were finished. Made me happy to be able to. And you also did Sara as well, if memory serves--another lengthy classic a non-book reader such as myself got a lot out of.

Porphy is clearly on the low-budget side of things and has taken FOREVER for the tragedy to occur, compared to the other WMT/similar titles I've watched, but I'm enjoying it, and I wouldn't be if not for you/your group.

Also: downloaded the two obscure films you released. Hope they're good!

Hello! First of all, I appreciate the work Licca fansubs makes and particularly enjoyed Les Miserables and Inochi Kagayaku Toki. This is not a request although I'm a bit curious as to whether you might have any plans for Ribon No Kishi - it being the first shoujo and more or less unavailable and all. Thanks for your time! :)

Sounds like a logical system, keeps you guys busy with a new anime to eventually work on. I'm not in a hurry, not enough to beg for more episodes of WMT anime, so that's fine.

Lucy-May sounds like one I'd like to pick up, very unfamiliar with My Annette or the book it's based on. But I look forward to both when they're eventually available in English.

So...what will your group be subbing now that Porphy is finished, if I may ask? I noticed you're working on Perrine, which is neat since the current subs aren't very good.

Hopefully it's yet another WMT title.

Yeah, may as well be a robotic language. And the whole tone/sound thing is just ridiculous.

I'm probably just full on otaku at this point saying this, but I do think Japanese is just a really pleasing language to the ears and all. Singing, voice acting, normal talking, everything sounds great. Too bad I suck at languages though, I tried taking a course a few years back but dropped it. lol, I can't even do Spanish so... other languages just aren't happening for me. That said I've picked up on a lot with all the anime watching, or sometimes if I'm looking away or blink, I can still grasp what the conversation is now which is kind of nice.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
