これはこれは、お褒め頂き恐縮です。私の英語はまだまだ、日々精進ですよ。ただ、学術論文を書くスピードは明らかに上がりました。MALでの訓練の成果でしょう。
とは言え、今後教える学生の数が増えると今と同じ頻度でMALに関わるのは難しくなります。後輩を育てないといけないんですが、どうも自分には人材育成の能力が足りないです。

こんにちは

どちらも日本語としては正しいです。「事になっています」を最後に加えると"supposed to" や "believed to"といった意味が込められます。「使われている事になっている（けれども本当は違うかもしれない）」という感じです。

日本では、おっさんは30からと考える人が割と多いですね。体力に衰えを感じ始めるのがその頃かも。
年齢的には”孫”かな？ちなみに僕の祖父は88歳です。

１．”やも”を漢字で書くなら”八方”か”八面”ですかね。古い読み方なので”はっぽう”、"はちめん"と読む方が多いですが。意味は in all directions です。
２．”幸あらんことを”とか"幸運のあらんことを"とか言っていると思います。意味は I wish you good luck. です。古語の”汝に幸あるらむことを願ふ”が変化、短縮して”幸あらんことを”になっています。

I've beaten FF7, half of FFVIII (might get back to it someday :P), FFX, FFX-2 and FFXII. Although my favourite RPG of all time is Chrono Trigger.

LOL. Yeah, I've made a lot of "enemies" because of my dislike for Haruhi. But we all like what we like, and we're all individuals. Some people just don't get that. I catch a lot of grief because I didn't like Cowboy Bebop or Great Teacher Onizaka as well. Oh well. If we all liked the same things, life would be boring. ^_^

After looking at your list, 3 series come to mind that you really need to watch: Kanon (2006), Clannad, and Clannad ~After Story~! Enjoy! ^_^
