Honestly could have added more dimensions to the character. 1/10

it's kinda hard to put it properly into words, but I'll just say this: I wasn't into Violet Evergarden just because of the animation, I was into it because I like how its format really helped the titular protagonist in terms of her development and progression as a character. While the episodic format may not be for everybody, I thought it really gave me a good look into some of the tough realities of life itself. The only real issue I had is that I felt the story could've been longer for a much easier wrap-up / conclusion.
For me, personally, characters are almost always the bigger priority over everything else.

I didn't want to be rude about him, but considering his mean score, every now and then I actually wonder if he actually enjoys watching anime in general or not. I mean, he probably does, cause there's been many shows that I enjoyed but still rated relatively low in the end. But when I read his reviews, at times I'm just like "man I don't really know what your point is anymore"....especially with his review on Violet Evergarden.
Via my curiosity, I found out that a lot of what he said in that review probably may have stemmed from him being disappointed by what the VE PV (which aired like nearly two years ago, ffs) was teasing. PVs are meant to tease, and what we see in them is likely to get cut, depending on any changes in plans between the PV airing and the actual trailers and debut of the show. Like maybe the staff decided to write the script in a much different persective...maybe there were budget setbacks...can be either or both. The only thing I felt that the show did wrong was not properly wrapping up the situation regarding Violet and Gilbert. Even then, the conclusion was pretty solid, imo.
Lol, sorry I kinda just went off like that for quite a bit, cause I'm mostly into a lot of comedy and action series, and this show, of all things, became one of my all-time favorites.

I suggest to not try picking an argument with ZephSilver....I think he only really likes ancient-to-old classic anime series and not much else, if anything...which, though pretty good overall, aren't all that great, tbh, especially in terms of enjoyment.
Like, he does probably enjoy watching shows, but the critiquing is too overboard at times, I'll admit.
