That's fair enough, and I'd be happy to answer your question.

Yes, there are H OVAs and series that are far worse than KnJ, but KnJ goes beyond transposing ages and asks the reader to acknowledge that pre-pubescent children have a capacity for sexual knowledge. Any psychologist worth their salt would agree, but it's a subject that leaves many of the general public uncomfortable, and the series doesn't do itself any favors by giving Rin a sexual knowledge that borders on calling child protective services on Reiji.

Now this itself is risky material, but Japan has that all over as you've noted. KnJ developed a very special notoriety when it was released back in 2007 (the year I reviewed it), because a publisher in America called Seven Seas announced earlier that year they were going to sell the original in American bookstores.

The response was brutal. Many fans lashed out at Seven Seas for releasing materials that would shame anime/manga fans with a broad brush. It got so bad Seven Seas pulled the release a week before the first volume was about to hit shelves. The story is controversial in that it takes a high school drama, but it does so with characters that have a very wide and unsettling age gap, and it's also controversial in how the manga was licensed for American release and subsequently pulled right before release due to its content, and this of course spilled out over to general opinion regarding the anime. It was actually the fact that the series was so controversial that caused me to originally watch it, and I'm glad I did. What a daring and insightful story it is :)

Which is better, Berserk or Claymore? And why?

No, you do not have to pay for a Member Card. They're just silly computer graphics.

Hello! I wasn't sure if you'd see my reply at the Tokyo Majin fanclub forum, so I'm cross-posting here. The Member Cards are just online things. If you look at almost every profile or fanclub here on MAL, you'll see card graphics being offered and displayed. Would you like one? :)

Greetings! This is an update to announce that the Tokyo Majin club has finally reached 150+ members! Thank you everyone for joining!! And to celebrate I've made a Limited Edition Member Card. The card will be available for one week only (until Saturday 11/13), so hurry and request yours now.

We also have some new standard Member Card graphics to choose from, thanks to the wonderful EnkoKasumi. So if you haven't gotten your own Card yet, don't forgot to check those out and pick one up! You may also Claim a Character - there's still most of the cast up for grabs. :D

And remember guys, the club needs its members to stay active - this means YOU. Please feel free to introduce yourself in the Comments, or start a new discussion. Have an opinion and want to add your voice to our already ongoing threads? Check out the 17 Topics in our Forum.

Tokyo Majin Gakuen Kenpucho: Tou is a highly underappreciated anime, so please show your support by keeping our fanclub alive. Thank you! :D

I am so sorry i never noticed you friend invite and talk to me anytime. I am still interested in Crushed and Crying, I never got back to you because I promissed myself to limit my computer time until finals were over.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
