Hiya! I've been watching anime for eons beyond remembrance - I started with Cartoon Network's Toonami back in the late 90's. I most enjoy anime with fantastical worlds and epic adventures cause I usually watch anime as a nice escape. Speaking of which! One of my favorite genres is isekai, where the protagonist gets transported to another world. Some of my top picks in this category are Overlord, That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime, and So I'm a Spider, So What?. I think No Game No Life was the best isekai ever made and it's a crime against humanity that it never got a second season. Occasionally I do like emotional rollercoaster dramas like NANA but that takes a lot of mental fortitude to take one of those on so they're few and far between.
I also enjoy action-packed anime and overpowered protagonists. I'm the type of person that enjoys playing a single player RPG with cheats out the wazoo to feel like an all powerful goddess. Oh and I really like anime that blend humor and a heartwarming feel good experience, like BOFURI, My Next Life as a Villainess, and Kuma Kuma Kuma Bear.
I really like strong female leads like Android 18, Tōru from Miss Kobayashi's Dragon Maid, Teresa the Faint Smile from Claymore, Satellizer El Bridget from Freezing, Hakufu Sonsaku from Ikkitousen, and Rias Gremory from Highschool DxD.
I'm always looking for new anime to add to my watchlist as I often end up feeling like I have nothing to watch; though, I do prefer English dubs. I find myself focusing too much on reading rather than what's going on with subs. Oh and I love yuri anime. I've probably seen most of it though... If you have any that I haven't seen feel free to recommend it! One of my old favorites was Strawberry Panic! which I removed from my top 10 due to a lack of rewatching in favor of ones that I do rewatch more and thus I felt were more deserving for the top slots.
I'm also super into futanari and succubus stuff, but there's not really much anime or hentai with them.

And ooh that's good to know! Glad to hear that they adapted the routes well, like with Clannad. I hate when we get visual novel adaptations and they cut corners and don't even get around to adapting the true routes.
Gotcha, I understand. Studio Ghibli movies seem to hold up really well though, as I watched Castle in the Sky a few months ago and was amazed that a movie from the 80s could still look this amazing. I'm wondering how the new Ghibli movie will be that is coming out in Japan soon.
Oh wow I'm glad you realized that with Code Geass before a lot it was spoiled! And yeah date note was crazy when it came out. Definitely prefer the manga myself with that one though.
Oh yeah it took me like over 100 hours to get all of the routes but I thought it was worth it for the secret ending. Heaven's Feel is my favorite of the 3 routes and the movies that UFOtable did were awesome if you get the chance to check them out.
Don't know anything about Shuffle myself though. Is the anime adaptation any good?
And oof you read the light novel for Re Zero I assume? Sounds like it's going to be another great but sad season for Rem fans.
And yes Saber's design is so classic! She's been my waifu for over 10 years, ever since I completed the original FSN visual novel.
Yes the whole cast of Kobayashi is amazing and Kyoto animation did a stellar job. Lucoa is probably my favorite cause she’s slays causing some sort of misunderstanding hehe.
Also have you seen Utena? Based off your profile I think you would really enjoy it.
I kind of got the gist of your opinion on Evangelion.
As a fan of some Marvel and DC stuff that I grew up with, I think that every alien in EVA should have gotten origin stories, including the cyborg aliens or EVAs. Even the Martian Manhunter and Venom had origin stories before they found their homes on Earth.
In general, every fictional alien has the right to tell us his or her side of the story. Would've been nice if the mangaka had told the audience what exoplanet or galaxy the Angels, EVAs, their ancestors, etc came from.
If there are at least seven galaxies, then there must be trillions of planets potentially Earth-like. No surprise that the universe is that exponentially big.
Yes, I study astronomy sometimes and Evangelion should have had a stronger astrobiology background like some mainstream comics, kind of like Superman. Even his cousin Kara also.
One thing that's Evangelion got right at least somewhat is that humans can be very delicate. Maybe biased and annoying also.
With that said, how are you doing this Year of the Rabbit?
As for Laura Bailey, I like the fact that Lust and Serana have the exact same voice. My big tomboyish Gemini friend is big fan of that VA also. She would play Persona 4 to death because Rise and Yosuke. She also likes Bloodrayne.
Manga-wise, I still got a lot of catching up to do on Kurogane no Linebarrel which I prefer to the 2008 Gonzo adaptation. Definitely my next best manga to read after Trigun Maximum. Of course I still got Digimon V-Tamers on hold also.
Said Gemini friend would still watch said Gonzo anime for Miyuki Sawashiro. The first thing that I like about that anime is the theme music done by both Maaya Sakamoto and Ali Project.
