A kind kind friend of mine once decided out of the goodness of his heart to purchase this game for my friends and I so we can play together as a team, since he believed that this game was great. I was hesitant at first, looking at the graphics, I wondered, "what is this?" In my confusion, I decided to continue to play this game with him, while he helped us through each lab I became more and more infatuated by the greatness of this game, truly an artisan's craft in gameplay, graphics and combat. I ended up finding myself playing a lot of Grounded more often, ignoring my studies, putting countless hours into this game trying to find the best combat strategies and how to mix and match my red ant armor together with my character, being the witty and brash, yet intelligent, Max. This game would eventually make me reach a breaking point between my parents and I, as they gave me an ultimatum, either I am to uninstall this game and gift the game back to my friend, or leave the family household forever. I knew what to choose, as blood means nothing to me, yet the spider parts after I fought a wolf spider on my own means the world to me. The streets were cold, but Max and his red ant armor kept me through it as I would plug into outlets with my laptop, playing 10fps on it but enjoying every second of it. I love this game, it ruined my social relationships and got me broken up with my annoying girlfriend who wanted me to buy her material goods instead of trying to get her to play grounded (she never really understood me anyways). My life is a crumble, but now all I can say is that this is the greatest game I have ever played. Truly my favourite game ever. I got it for free, but I tried to sneak into the Obsidian Entertainment HQ and give them my entire bank balance as compensation for all of the good memories I had. I was jailed for three days and now am no longer allowed near the premises. I'm typing this on the cold streets, but all I have left is Grounded. Grounded is everything to me, and without it I would be in a dark place. Instead, I am free of all burden, and can play grounded whenever I want. I love grounded. Purchase this game. I would've bought it for millions of dollars (i dont have millions but you get the idea) if i was given the chance. Grounded is beautiful. It is immaculate. Like nothing i've ever played. Other games simply can not compare to the genius put into this game. The other day I went to an internet cafe with the limited amount of money I have left, and got kicked out for playing nothing but grounded for three days straight. I would eat ramen and only get up to use the bathroom, I slept at my desk, listening to the hums of weevils and aphids around me, praying that no orb weaver would sneak up on me. Thankfully, that never happened. I am so happy to have had that experience. I wish I was Max, living in the world of grounded and merely exploring labs and fighting enemies every night, never having to experience the annoying girlfriend or family. I love Grounded so much, I am tearing up as I write this review. I will never forget this game, and continue racking up hours playing it 12 hours a day. Please buy this game.
