My interest in anime started when I was 7. The first three shows I ever watched on TV was Pokemon, Digimon, and Card Captors. By now my interest in those three shows have long since withered, and am now moving on to more interesting & better anime.
Most anime shows I rate are generally unfair. A lot of shows watched usually get dropped by first episode. First impressions are a make-or-break factor much like job interviews. But if it makes it past the first episode then, chances are it's golden, or at least silver. Sadly, the absolute best animes like Elfen Lied and Peach Girl are usually the short ones.
I prefer dubs over subs because it's more convenient. The voice acting isn't as impressive half the time but I can endure if the story is right.
I generally watch shows with some kind of violence in it. No greater story can come without sacrifice of a human being. Despite this, there are the occasional romances that I do enjoy. Will happily watch PG shows again.
