One of the manga, Forbidden Scrollery, was the first part of the franchise to be released officially in English, so I assume that the creator thinks that it's a pretty good place to start? If you want to play more of the games first, then I guess I'd recommend Ten Desires or Unconnected Marketeers., supposing that you aren't very experienced with the bullet hell genre. They're probably the easiest ones IMO. If you're more experienced with bullet hell, then you could probably play any of the mainline games next. There are also official fighting game spinoffs, if that's more your kinda jam?

I actually prefer the manga to the games, although you might need to play the games to understand some of the lore and whatnot. There is no official anime adaptation of Touhou, but there are a few well-known fan-made Touhou anime. One of which, A Summer Day's Dream, even has an entry on MyAnimeList, although it's not very good IMO. The Memories of Phantasm, however, is another Touhou fanime, and while it doesn't have a page on MAL, it is so, so much better than A Summer Day's Dream IMO. Personally speaking, Memories of Phantasm was my entry-point to the series, although I'm not sure if I'd really recommend it as a starting point to someone else. :\

From my knowledge web-novel is as the name says a novel the author wrote on the web but it differs from the LNs. Most of the times web novels are either the rough form of a LN (before an author finds a place to publish his work in a book form) or an entire different story but with some similarities to a LN (of the same name).

I am doing pretty good i guess :P

Be careful to not mistake a LN to a Web Novel, they are different in almost every aspect even if some of the plot and characters are the same.

Hello, it really has been a while, how are you ?

I haven't read a lot of LN's, probably a little over 70 or something and not the most famous or notable ones. Also i has been over a year since i read anything. If i had to pick it would be"World Teacher: Isekaishiki Kyouiku Agent", "Sendai Yuusha wa Inkyo Shitai", "Yondome wa Iya na Shizokusei Majutsushi"or "Konjiki no Word Master: Yuusha Yonin ni Makikomareta Unique Cheat". Probably those four are what stood out the most for me.
