Ah, well that sucks :( I've got assignments that I've gotta do too that I kind of neglected, balancing them with the reading I have to do is sort of irritating. Are you going to be back for February half-term? I'll probably be staying in Manchester this time round.
Masserati_ Jan 18, 2014 1:43 PM
It's cool! Don't worry about it. But yeah, we should totally like, meet up this week or something before you go back, that would be pretty great.
Masserati_ Jan 13, 2014 3:41 AM
Oh boy, I'm back in Manchester.
Masserati_ Dec 19, 2013 5:10 AM
Oh right! I have been there then, I've been to Forbidden Planet and Travelling Man a few times, so I am a bit familiar with the area, I just had no idea whatsoever that it was the Northern Quarter. Yeah, my holiday is sort of short, I kind of wish it was longer, although technically, this is week is the start of my holiday due to it not being proper lectures/seminars/workshops apart from one History lecture. I've been to Affleck's a few times, although I haven't actually been in since I started living here, I should change this.

It's no problem, good series should be recommended to everyone.

Oh and Berserk too! Berserk is a fantastic watch.
Masserati_ Dec 18, 2013 11:40 AM
I'm not back in Blackburn until Friday actually, I have the whole of tomorrow off, so that's pretty handy. Strictly speaking, I don't actually know where the northern quarter is, although I imagine it's not near MMU. I start again on the 13th of January, if you're not back at Durham by that point that'd be pretty great!

Well according to your list, you've not seen the Aoi Bungaku series even though it's on your PTW list. You need to rectify this, Aoi Bungaku is a fantastic series. House of Five Leaves (Saraiya Goyou) is also a really great watch, so I'd recommend that too. The Tatami Galaxy is also something that I highly recommend, that's a really unique, one of a kind series, with a really interesting animation style and a funny take on groundhog day scenarios. If you end up liking that, I'd also recommend Uchouten Kazoku, which is by the same director and contains many of the things that make Tatami Galaxy work so well (quirky, witty dialogue, great characters and a really good story).

Those are just some off the top of my head at the moment though, I could probably recommend more but I think you should give priority to those shows.

Yeah, I remember you telling me how you were sat on the bus with your friend and you watched the last episode of Brotherhood together, it's going to be good revisiting FMA again.

On another note, I've managed to get myself the Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood Blu-rays, I'm looking forward to watching Ed and Al in glorious HD.

Well Manchester is fantastic, so much better than dull old Blackburn. I've been having a lot of fun meeting new people and really getting absorbed into the History aspect of my work. I also seem to have developed a newfound respect for French linguists, they've got some pretty influential views and I think that the work they've done is fascinating.

Hm, well Christmas themed anime are definitely not my strong suit unfortunately, although if you're wanting good shows, I can probably recommend some (provided you tell me what you're looking for).
