My aesthetic, which informs how I choose shows to watch and how I judge them:

I don't judge shows by how well they're executed with respect to themselves but rather the intentions, spirit, and mindset of the creators.

I liked whenever the gang got together to solve whatever each episode's current threat was as well as the subplot about their daily lives and struggles.
I guess I wanted to see more of the future world and a more focused story in general. Noein could have easily been done in 16-18 episodes.
Top notch music too. Didn't notice the similarity of the main motiff with Rachmaninoff until you pointed it out in a forum post.
Yeah Gurren Lagann is arguably the most epic "shounen" out there. I actually even rewatched it. Not as great as the first time tho. And ofc not the comedy and fan service. They're the worst part of it.
One that best describes Juuni Kokuki as a whole as well as would attract people's interest towards it. How beautiful it looks is only a bonus.
I personally like this one the most but it'd be too spoiling
Idk, for me tho i didn't actually like it. For some reason the audiovisuals are turning me off more than drawing me in. I suppose i'll stop watching it for a couple days before starting from square one.
I really enjoy unique storytelling and divisive anime (I have School Days in my faves and I'm being completely sincere! š¤£), if after watching something, I have questions and I want to have a conversation with someone about it, I'm satisfied. I just looked up Pantheon and it sounds cool, thanks for the shout (it also has an actor I love from Lost so that's a great plus)! thanks again for reading my long-winded bleating, it's great to have a thoughtful discussion with someone.
How far have you rewatched?
Hey i'm curious about your view on Texhnolyze.
Yeah that's a nice track. Are you talking about that particular one or the rest in the playlist as well?
But oof, gotta admit that's the part of the show where i remember the least amount of details. Hold on, lemme just read the episode summaries...
But i'd say the second arc about the kirin boy was my fav. His growth was very good. Wished he had appeared in Youko's storyline.
