EDIT: Just finished the first episode of Gangsta, and it's FREAKING AWESOME!
It was shot like a mafia movie, it's making all the right moves- money, clothes, cars and hoes- crooked cops, drugs, and some unfiltered ultraviolence! YEAH!

Nah man, ich hatte keine Ahnung, dass es schon ausstrahlen war. (Is that the right word? I had to look airing/broadcasting up, never learned it)

When can I expect a CORY IN THE HOUSE review? We need to get the word out there about this, so they'll stop calling me the anime hipster.

Oh I don't have a problem with production IG. I've seen a lot ot Ghost in the Shell, AOT, and Guilty Crown, so I feel like I know their product pretty well. Their character models aren't the best, but I like their design, especially the backgrounds. I wish they'd quit with the 3D CGI though.

I heard one punch man was good. The other one I found just by chance looking at the season. I don't think any other summer animu will carry over so might be all fresh by that time. I have no clue what an ojou-san is either.

I rewatched part of Ghost 1995, and I realized something.

Arise actually redid this scene shot for shot, and I didn't realize it because it's been so long since I saw Ghost 1995,but I was proud.
SAC is very good. I would have given SAC 2nd a 10 if it wasn't so stupidly racist. It got to the point where it annoyed me, and It was wholly unnecessary on top of that.

You know, people say they like the dub a lot... but they're just wannabe poser weebs. The original is THE ONLY ANIMU. Hyper-realism, the most believable and compelling characters ever written... Man, it's such a shame it didn't win all the Grammys for that opening theme.

Ah, Production IG, makers of the worst anime of all time... and also what a lot of 15 year old chickenheads consider the best anime of all time. What a distinction to have, being the producer of both the best and worst of all time.

Gangsta does look good. I've got a few on the list for next season already too

Firstly, each to their own, though I will add.. You think Elfen Lied is a terrible anime then you sir cannot rate anime at all. Granted you can have your own opinion liking something or not, but quality is still quality. Elfen Lied may not be perfect but god it hits you hard. It's brutal emotion and drama is without doubt effective. The artwork and effects are good and it had a great soundtrack. Elfen Lied is without doubt a quality series, even with it sadly being cut short due to the unfortunate circumstances. If you can't see that, then your judgment when rating anime is flawd and I personally cannot take your ratings seriously.

Thanks... I was setting out to do just that, make someone laugh. It really was a hilariously awful anime. It's the best ever at that.

Lol, hey it's a fucking awesome series with a bunch of awesome characters (especially Yin) I wrote a review on that one too however it wasn't favorable among the masses.

The last dude who will always defend GONZO, no matter how shitty their shows are every now and then You are right about that. I am sure a lot of people now a days don't even know about GONZO but could have Welcome to the NHK and/or Rosario + Vampire on their animelist

The Kill La Kill dub is a very interesting piece of work... the original was so dynamic and everyone gave 150% to those roles... I didn't think they'd be able to dub it and it sound any good, but they put together a cast of vets and nobodies and made it great. It's actually two different companies that did them though, Aniplex did KLK, Funimation is getting Ninja Slayer due to their "Simuldubbing" program, which I think is fantastic, except that we end up getting some shows that rock like Ninja Slayer, and a lot of crap flooding the market, but I'm happy if my one or two shows I like get a good dub 4 weeks into the original airing instead of a year or two AFTER it finishes.

I don't think I've ever seen anything by JC Staff, actually. I know of Cromartie High School by reputation, but haven't seen it.

Well, with your recommendation, this season may not be so bad after all. There's been one anime each season since I started watching (lol, fall 2014) that has really been good, and hopefully this new season will be no different. I knew Ninja Slayer was going to be freaking awesome since I heard Trigger was doing it, so it was a no brainer. Other than that, I guess Triage X was the big surprise!

Let me know if it turns out to be substantive... I'll die of shock, or only speak German the rest of my life

True, just from the title you can tell it's gonna be feelsy. Don't think I've watched an anime that's realllly feelsy before though 0_o

Ninja Slayer is even better in English, too. I know most non Americans are pretty anti dub, but there are some that are mindblowingly awesome. Ninja Slayer is almost in that category- but it doesn't have far to go. So basically, getting a double dose of Ninja Slayer every week, and rewatching it at the same time haha.

I don't know what to think about the "video game" series that are popular nowadays. I'm fairly indifferent to Sword Art, and I haven't seen NGNL or Log Horizon. They seem like they could be good ideas, but the promise of anything substantive is kind of empty. idk.

I put Prison School on my watch list, I'll give it a try.

I'm not even going to attempt Bikini Warriors... It just looks like pure trash, tbh lol. If it turns out to be something decent, I'll probably quit watching Annie May altogether and find a new hobby.

This season I'm watching NINJA SLAYER (pure, unfiltered awesome), Comical Psychosomatic Medicine (hilarious,informative/factual shorts about psychological disorders), Hokago no Pleiades (because Gainax), Kekkai Sensen, and Plastic Memories (suck!)

Really only Ninja slayer and Triage X have me excited every week to watch. CPM was a hidden gem, but the others are really meh. Next season is looking okay- Madhouse is trying out one of those video game series in the vein of NGNL, SAO called "Overlord".

Manglobe is doing one called "Gangsta" which looks cool.
Ufotable is popping one out called "God Eater" which is an adaptation of a game... hit or miss it looks like.
"Gakkou Gurashi" also looks like one to keep an eye on.
