"A person who cuts their ties with other people is a person who cannot live."
Kokou No Hito, Chapter 11

A tangible display of the complexities of Love.

[Ai Tanabe] "I'm so sorry, senpai. You seem sad and angry and I don't know how to help you. But I think you can make things like this a little easier, by sharing them with someone who cares about you, something hard to bear alone might be easier with a friend. SENPAI!"
[Hachirouta Hoshino] "Shut the hell up! All of it is mine, all of the loneliness, all of the pain, all the doubts, all the regrets. You don't deserve them. No way in hell am I going to give them to you!"
Planetes, dubbed version

"I say I have no reason to win, but why is it so painful when I lose? It's always halfway with everything."
"I can't do what normal people can do. I want to help. And yet, I don't know how I can help....I want to be needed."
"If you're strong, everything will be justified."
Rei Kiriyama, 3-Gatsu no Lion

"It's not impeccable, either. It's just an extremely emotional thing that humans created. That's why it clings to you, like fetters."
Arima Kousei, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso
"Your life is condensed into a scant few minutes onstage. Sure it's scary, and it makes no sense either. Once you get passed that, there's a moment when the slate gets wiped clean. All the months of agony, screaming, suffering, and struggling... There's a moment when you're rewarded for all that. Maybe we're creatures who just can't help ourselves... possessed by that moment. It's a little like being in love.
Hiroko Seto, Shigatsu wa Kimi no Uso

In "Hyouka," Kyoto Studio did superb aesthetics. In episode 5 when Oreki was with his bike in the rice fields, that was an awe-inspiring scene. On spot art, kudos guys.

"As a human being, I’m dead inside, but the shell continues to move. Still working like it did before. That is my life."
