We've got a battle advantage, but until forums, characters/people and other stuff is back, the war is not over :O But profiles are a good thing to have back. Nice to see you again! How have you been? Also I don't think you got a chance to reply to my last one before it went down, lol.

Aw I see. Non Non Biyori does have its fun, faster moments but it is a slice of life show at heart that is all about making you feel relaxed and good. It's a shame if that really isn't your thing, but I'd still say you should try Yuru Camp. Let yourself grow attached to the characters before you drop things :)

Yeah it really isn't K-On! 2.0. It has a lot more drama. A lot of people expected it to be like K-On! and got disappointed. It really is best not to compare it to K-On!, though with the focus on a music club and the fact it's made by KyoAni makes it hard not to. But yeah if you're not looking for something more serious it probably isn't what you want to watch right now. If you want more energetic pure comedies like Nichijou and Nichibros, try Saiki Kusuo no Psi-nan! I really think it will be to your liking. A couple of others that might fit the bill are Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun, Gabriel DropOut, Kobayashi-san Chi no Maid Dragon and Kono Bijutsubu ni wa Mondai ga Aru. Hope these help ^_^

I'm afraid to disappoint but no, I'm nowhere near that advanced in Japanese. Knowing the Kansai (Osaka) dialect sounds advanced but it's very frequently referenced in anime and it has really distinctive phrases to it. I've been learning Japanese on an app (also through watching anime and listening to J-Pop and other watching YouTube vids, yeah) and I'm starting to remember some hiragana and have a basic understanding of the grammar and stuff but I'd still have a LONG way to go before I reach that kind of proficiency ^^; right now I'm only kinda learning it as a hobby.

That's right! Her voice really is distinctive. Her Aoi voice is similar to Yui but with a strong Kansai dialect. It's cool. I hope you enjoy Yuru Camp! I loved it. Although I see you weren't a fan of Non Non Biyori which is similar so I wonder if Yuru Camp will be to your taste! Also I know it's totally your choice and opinion but please give Hibike Euphonium another try. It gets really good, and there is a new sequel movie for it coming out that is directed by Naoko Yamada.

My scoring is likely exaggerated compared the most people's MAL rating scales. Basically, it means that I found Polar Bear Cafe worse than about 80% of the other shows I've watched. Since I've only watched about 15 shows, that doesn't mean much yet. Quite a few shows on my scale have worse scores than they "deserve" until I watch enough bad shows to push them higher. My rating system always uses the full scale in an even distribution, which is not at all the norm for most people's rating habits. If I were to give it a "non-ladder" score, it would be a 6 or 7, I think. Don't take my scoring as meaning too much :)

I mainly love the show because it has great characters and is hilarious throughout.

Also if they mention about how its a music club and they dont really play music, you can easily debunk that by refering to the end of episode 4. At the end of the episode, it demonstrates what this show is really going to be about when mio realizes that she should be more focused on making fun and happy memories over making sure they practice.

This is also what makes this show so great as you are also having fun and making memories of a life time with these characters.

What points do you have btw?

Yeah, I feel as though I know how to defend it by now. However even then I probably would still get attacked by them :(
