And as for Ashita No Joe, that's a show I've been mulling over for a while. Some time ago I watched a different 70s show called Karate Baka Ichidai (both series share the same writer for the manga), and after that show stopped adapting from the manga and did its own thing it got really boring, and I didn't want to watch that happen to Ashita No Joe as well. But if it was good... I thought maybe I'd be missing out. But since you've said I can go on to the second season I doubt myself no longer and continue on!
