Hey! I really liked your review in Toaru Kagaku no Accelerator! It really is WAY better than Index, and Accelerator is as badass as ever!!!
HannibalQ Jan 1, 2018 3:18 AM
oh happy new year brudda. i hope you have a good year as well
HannibalQ Dec 29, 2017 10:20 PM
heyy thats nice man. i like that you started to write about the stuff you like. i haven't watched the show yet but i'm a big fan of the director.

i also thought 2014 had some good shows
HannibalQ Dec 5, 2017 5:41 AM
ahhh i see, good you found another show you really like :)
HannibalQ Dec 3, 2017 1:36 PM
i haven't seen any of it dude. it's about maids right? maybe thats why haha
HannibalQ Nov 27, 2017 4:50 AM
no worries bro, let me know how it goes
HannibalQ Nov 26, 2017 3:03 AM
uhh i'm prolly not the right guy to ask about this kind of thing, because i don't watch a whole bunch of highschool anime like that.

the only things i can think of that might fit that description, and only barely, are sakamoto desu ga which is mostly comedy based on the fact that the MC is so perfect that he can do basically anything because he's so cool.

the other would be mob psycho 100, in which it's debatable whether the lead is 'strong', since he's a troubled kid, but he does look to improve himself which is cool. in a battle he's fuckin badass. The highschool setting isn't static. there's a lot of other places they go, so idk if i consider it an 'anime set in high school'.

they're both quite good shows imo, though i'm not sure they're exactly what you're looking for. I just don't really watch many of those kinds of shows. I hear 'the world god only knows' is a good show like that, but i haven't seen it so i'm not sure.
HannibalQ Nov 17, 2017 4:03 PM
Yeah, there doesn't seem to be too much stuff that will be remembered from this season. Magus bride seems cool, and I'm kind of into inuyashilki, but nothing else has struck me as something that great
HannibalQ Nov 16, 2017 12:48 PM
Yeah, I only think it's okay. I basically only watch it when I have nothing to watch. I mostly only like the Hayashi and lily stuff cuz I think it's cute. Everything else I could care less about. The shows sitting at like a 4-5 for me atm. It's an okay tiime
waster. I dont really know why I was recommended it by two people, I don't really see the hype, but I think there are good things about it.

I think I'll keep watching it though.

Hope you find something you enjoy, and I'm glad you decided to write
HannibalQ Nov 14, 2017 5:02 AM
oh ok. i mean don't force yourself to write if you don't want to

not everyone likes to write about anime or art in general. i just find it really satisfying to figure out why i like or dislike something. Seriously, writing about why some mindgames work (like in death note) and others don't (like classroom) made me feel more powerful than Kira himself lol.

even then, little tidbits about any thoughts you have would be nice
HannibalQ Nov 10, 2017 12:28 PM
Yeah it was interesting to watch a show that I otherwise wouldn't have.

Yeah man be sure to write about them to me if you do.

Maid dragons a great show. My favs gurren lagann, but I recently watched madoka and it became a favourite.

Yeah I hear that shows pretty cool. I've watched a tiny bit of seasonals this time around, but I'm really behind on both since I'm pretty into beck right now.

Anyway the seasonals I'm watching right now are inuyashiki and net-juu susume. They're both ok
HannibalQ Nov 9, 2017 3:31 PM
Yeah, well it was at least kinda fun to try to explain to you why i didn't end up liking it. idk at least the start of the show was cool.

Still think horikita's cool though.

Yeah, there are probably some of my favourites you wouldn't care about at all, and that's ok. I don't think you would like FLCL or Gurren Lagann that much. you can watch 'em if you want to see what the shows i like a lot are like.

At least we both love maid dragon haha.
HannibalQ Oct 24, 2017 4:34 PM
Ok, finished the show. It started out pretty decent, and i still like horikita, but everything after the pool episode really went downhill for me. The twist at the end that MC doesn't see people as people or whatever just shatters any kind of bond i was supposed to forge with this guy over the course of the series. His internal monologue suddenly changes from a semi-relatable weird outcast into a fucking psychopath outta nowhere. And it's not like this is because of a recent occurrence, it's apparently deep rooted in his childhood. I'll assume he gets over it in the later parts of the story so we can have a tsundere partnership where he feels true love.

yeah, i ended up not liking the show. It started out as like a 6-7 and quickly fell down to the 3-4 range.
HannibalQ Oct 24, 2017 6:35 AM
episode 10: nothing happens. at least nothing really interesting. this show seems to have completely lost focus and i don't know if it's salvagable for me at this point.
HannibalQ Oct 24, 2017 1:28 AM
watched episode 9 and honestly found it hard to care. There were so many rules to the game that i didn't feel invested in it. I think things like this are best kept simple with a single, game-changing twist to make things interesting. these niggas is out here playing magic the gathering or some shit. not a fan of this arc.

A good example of a mindgame in anime for me is something like the battles between Kira and L. It's easy to see how a magical killing book and the best detective in the world is appealing from the get-go. It's simple and freeform enough so that the players in these games have legitimate autonomy and the rules are easy to understand to the viewers because they're basically synonymous with the laws of the world, so they make sense why they're in place. Yojikyo just kinda throws a bunch of shit at you and then the students just talk about what they'll do without explaining why those rules are so important to the show as a whole. it's just kinda a general game to challenge them in teamwork and nothing more.

so yeah, i don't really seeing myself getting that into these later episodes.
