It does seem that the Portuguese translation is the most complete for Ohana holoholo, you're right about that.

Maya is so easy to like, since she's pretty and capable on the one hand, and considerate and loving on the other. I think the mangaka devotes a lot of pages to draw out her internal self-doubt and misgivings, which also make her likable. I think Michiru is drawn much less sympathetically, and her constant struggle to be more than "dead weight" could be a virtue, but often comes across as immature, at least to me. I didn't even think that you might not read Ohana holoholo in English! though I read that it is available in Spanish beyond chapter 14, too.

Ohana holoholo has been eking out translated scans since chapter 14 -- up to 21 as of 2018 -- in case you were not aware. Plus the storytelling does not weaken up to the midway mark.
