Tell me...why am I still here?

Depression makes it hard to keep up with watching anime, but I want to at least keep trying to enjoy what I used to love.

Happy Birthday! :D

お-げんき です か?

Other than that, I've been studying Japanese for four months now. I thank Instant Japanese and the Frenchman who wrote this awesome proxy sensei since the 90s.

Thanks to the late Mr. Boyé, I've finally moved on to kanji. I'm also thankful that I'll be able to re-read Silent Möbius more comfortably one day.

So yeah! Welcome back Diann. I got abstract algebra to take care of, but I'll be fine. I also taught my left hand to write.

Hope that you are having great fun this April and happy belated birthday to Maaya Sakamoto who we know as Aura.

With that said, I'll be reading lots more Sorcerer Hunters this spring.

Linebarrels of Iron was great midway, but the chapter finale got rushed and left me with a bittersweet feeling.

Anyway! I've come back to Ragnarok Online and so far, I've been loving the new classes, Paradise gears, improvements in mechanics, etc.

You could say that this old Korean mmorpg is the game CyberConnect2 dreamed of making. Yes! FF14 is more popular, but Ragnarok Online has a special place in my heart. Will definitely stay tuned for episode 19 and the fifth classes.

Episode 18 is definitely better than the Ragnarok of old and pre-renewal times with more content.

As for anime, I think I'll re-watch Megaman NT Warrior which I really enjoyed watching every Saturday morning. Yes, the Ocean dub guys starred in that anime.

You're welcome and I hope that Year of the Rabbit (on its way) will be your luckiest overall year.

On a completely unrelated note, I can almost see peach trees blossoming across the globe very soon. Yes, cherry trees also and everyone knows by now that sakura are cherry blossoms by now.

I also look forward to vanquishing Dark Aeons and then playing other games on my PC this year. I also intend to read all of Digimon V-Tamers this Year of the Rabbit.

As you can see, V-Tamers is a completely different story to Toei's Digimon anime franchise.

Toei is like an old dog that is too tardy or too sluggish to keep up with new tricks. Can't even master CGI or the art of green screens like IG, Sunrise, Bones or Ufotable.

I hope that you had a happy birthday as of late. Yeah! New Year, but still another day of the tiger year.

2010 was my preferred tiger year because my tiny dog was born.

Anyway, I hope that you had a Merry Christmas this year. Hopefully, you'll have a jolly Year of the Rabbit.

Anyway! I've been making progress with Linebarrels of Iron chapters while playing Final Fantasy 5 Advance (I really love the job system and I can't wait to power up Leviathan using the Mix ability). Gogo is definitely the toughest boss for me so far. Hitting my party with Meteor so the mime that somehow traveled into the FF6 universe and ended up being inside a giant desert worm is a bastard.

Hopefully in Valkyria Chronicles 5, Mamiko Noto could return, but as a soldier. Still don't mind her being a queen or princess again.

Oh yeah! I also look forward to Shin Megami Tensei III in HD. Hopefully the music won't be distorted like FFX HD (I only played the original US versions of this game and FFX-2).

I have yet to beat the Dark Aeons by the way, but I heard that Dark Bahamut is the toughest superboss to beat without overpowered Celestial Weapons and I would just kill Penance with Zanmato because his HP is too high.

Other than that, I look forward to Aya Hisakawa's birthday. Her Rem voice feels so angelic, comforting and wired like someone once dear to me when I was very young.

Your knowledge of past is still in your heart and it'll come around. Sometimes, previous knowledge occurs in dreams like in Total Recall. Not all dreams are based on fantasy.

Other than that, summer is an okay season. I still have to work real hard to buy the Xbox Series S which is known for being an emulation powerhouse.

When I buy one, then I'll be able to replay PS2 games without worrying about scratched discs or picky DVD drives.

I'll even replay Wild Arms: Alter Code f which could have gotten remastered like Wild Arms 3. Yes, the old IMOQ games too.

Anyway, autumn is around the corner and probably the best time for me to buy the 0.9 mm mechanical pencil from Staedtler.

As for manga, I plan on reading this fairly recent manga called Seton. A historical manga that takes place in the Wild West and is obviously based on a true story like most manga of its genre.

A friend of mine from North Carolina is a historical nerd by the way.

So anyway! I hope fall will be better and I'll work as hard as I can to get the new Xbox.

People think that everyone is living in the Dark Ages of entertainment, but blacksmithing never fails to amuse me.

On the other hand, I don't think that I'll be playing Pokémon Scarlet or Violet next year because I don't trust the current higher ups.

I still see Gamefreak making the same product with subtle changes like CoD and Activision a decade ago. Nothing but blatant pre-teen pandering these days.

With that said, I hope that you'll have a good summer.

So far, I can confirm that you still know about Dot Hack more than everyone, so you are exceptional.

Like Agent Dana Scully once said, "Smart is sexy". However, it's the new sexy.

Yes, I've been watching a great deal of X-Files. Made before modern television sucked and started pandering.

Oh! Hello again Diann. :)

I haven't played any of the really old Digimon games, but Data Squad was good and I heard that Cyber Sleuth is still very cool. Some say that it's like the Persona of Digimon.

As for Survive, its difficulty seems to be more akin to Suikoden Tactics than Zoids Assault. Nobody thinks it's that hard. I wanted it to be very difficult, but I'll still play it on my Switch for living up to being story-driven like the old WonderSwan games or the manga V-Tamers which I'll read more of later.

As you can see, Mamiko did Emi Kizaki and Cordelia Gi Randgriz or Gallia princess back in 2008.

Other than that, not really watching a lot of anime except for the Tenchi OVAs and I'm trying to get to the fifth OVA. I have a feeling that AIC will continue the franchise.

Until the sixth OVA comes, I'll be expecting Gungrave GORE soon enough. Maybe as soon as this September. I'm still surprised that Gungrave is back after so many years. So yeah! The great action hero Brandon Heat is back, but in another universe. I'm still unsure about Bunji's role in the future Gungrave. However, I am going to miss those undead gunmen, Jyuji and Billy from Overdose. Designed by the man behind Trigun or Nightow.

I think that winter was my Aquarius friend's favorite season. Now she's an Amish living in like southern Ohio. I heard that the apples grow there and that autumn is beautiful there.

Other than that, what do you think of Digimon Survive coming out on late July? I hope that it'll be a thought-provoking tactical RPG like Zoids Assault that my brother gave me last Christmas (Zoids Assault would have made an interesting anime and you would love hearing Richard Epcar as Lt. Faulkner).

Peaches will be ready to harvest on early Leo Day.

As for Kurogane no Linebarrel, it's definitely one of the most underrated manga I have ever read. Ended seven years ago and I thought that Mamiko Noto did a great job playing as Emi Kizaki in the Gonzo adaptation.
Kurt_Irving Jun 29, 2022 4:27 PM
Anyway Diann! I hope you're having a fun summer day. Not sure how things are doing in the Mid Atlantic.

On the other hand, I've decided to read all of Linebarrels of Iron now that I have completed Trigun Maximum. Yeah! Not a lot choices to read when it comes to sci-fi manga.
It’s time to ditch the text file.
