I'm a sucker for romcoms, I'm just telling you now. I'm not particularly interested in animes that don't at least have comedy as a sub-sub-sub-genre. I like to laugh. I have to be in a certain mood to sit and focus on a tense anime, but some of my highest rated animes are actually not romcoms. Shocker, I know.

I have a pretty simple rating system. It is dependent solely on how much I enjoyed the concept, the characters, and if everything flowed as well as it could have.


1 - Awful. Bad characters. Bad plot. Bad, just plain bad. There was not a single thing I enjoyed.
2 - Not as bad, but still bad. You feel? I might've chuckled once.
3 - Iffy. Might have been an interesting concept, but poor execution with characters and/or plot fell apart. Isn't much better than a 1 or 2.
4 - Below average. It tried to be something, but couldn't
5 - Perfectly average. If I hadn't seen it in just about every anime ever, it might've actually been good. One-dimensional characters. Interesting plot, but built on overused tropes. It is entirely possibly that this show can be given a 1, but is so bad that it became hilarious to watch because of it.
6 - A very odd and hard to explain rating. Very similar to a 5, but just interesting enough to qualify for a higher rating. Bad characters carried by an original plot or a bad plot carried by good characters.
7 - Interesting concept with good characters, but either forgot about the plot halfway through, improved significantly only at the end, or simply didn't keep my attention near the end as well as it did at the start. A solid anime with its only flaw being a failed ending or a total 180 in narration.
8 - An enjoyable watch with an enjoyable premise and characters, but doesn't have a lingering effect on me after a while. Even if I don't come back to it, I don't regret watching it.
9 - Nearly god-tier. Few flaws such as plot holes or annoying tropes and characters. Flaws are heavily overshadowed by fantastic characters and an interesting plot. Very enjoyable, but not quite worth the rewatch.
10 - Bow down to these animes. Beautiful, fascinating, tragic, or simply downright hilarious and relaxing concepts. Character development and fillers that don't feel forced are natural to these animes. Can easily be immersed in the story and characters due to their depth. Definitely worth the rewatch. Utterly and completely perfect in every way possible (in my opinion, of course)
