Nah, you see... I'm from Finland, so I'm not into traveling - one summertime trip in France, wearing all black goth-attire, and I was all like "Get me the hell out of here!"! :) I just read some blogs or by books... some corporal spying every now and then... nothing major or "valid" experience, so to say. And any indian restaurants that we have here, won't hire white finnish girls, so... there's also that.

I was a MAJOR pokemaniac with my mom and little sister, when I was about... 8 or 9, and The Spell of Unown is still one of my absolute favourite animated movies... somewhere around in my top 50, at least... but in no way in hell or high water, would I ever even consider pokemon to be one of the most BEST shows ever made, just because I have some nostalgia over it! It's for kids, and thus is what it is, but atleast it's harmeless! I never got myself into Digimon, and they're basically the same thing, at their core - this was a HUGE debate in Finland in early 2000s', and what I hear, still on-going!

Nostalgia... the worst enemy of a working mind. :)

Brits and French atleast have some interesting culinary palets and facinating tastes to work with! Us finns we're so excited over a thyme in a late 70s' that italians would just roll their eyes and pity on us! And the indian... don't even get me started! So delicious, but hardly any good indian restaurants here - shame on us!

That Amnesia review should propably get edited though...

I think I see what you're getting there... even if my vocabulary kinda sucks, when trying to elaborate myself. Amond in any Fandom, it's all about feeling like being a part of something, let it be cultural or pop-cultural thing such as movies, games or books, and in a second when someone opposes to that said culture - read: it's people - the Hell breaks lose, on both sides! I just could've never believed, that there really are so many people inside the same community, who're just refusing to talk the matters through - naive, much?! :)

Ranting and nitpicking in general, is like a little kids playing sword fights with a sticks. It's fun, until someone gets hurt, and then everyone starts pointing fingers.

I'm very honest and passionate about my opinions about anything, really, and that does come out maybe just a little bit off for some, but instead of having a equal conversation, I get slut-shamed! Not being bitter though, it is actually funny! :)

And pokemon... is there really actually a legit war going on between the opposite sides? Really... over a silly little cartoon, that still reminds me of those cheap-ass candies and card-game that i never really learned? C'om!

Europeans are pussies like that - they can't handle the burn! :) Us finns on the other hand... well, we like to act like all "cool" and "groovie" when it comes to food, but we're still all culinary children in most cases. We had our first touches on italian cousines about fourty years ago, which is - as a professional cook - pretty pathetic to think about!

Yeah, it might've been some other review of mine, that peacked your interest - my latest DBS review, most likely. I haven't yet been on the MAL for that long, but I've already come into sad conclusion, that not all Fandoms are nearly as rupportive nor willing to discuss with others than themselves, than what I originally thought they would be - most of the time they remind me of hissing cats! I would still love to find another pokemaniac and rip the whole franchise apart with him/her, but alas, that's a dream yet to come true...

I do actually have a lot of trust in myself that I will eventually grow to like Natural - unlike that other franchise, this one seems to have something that keeps me atleast interested!

Yeah, I totally see what you're saying right there - the Fandom can be a bitch! It's kinda like me seeing people in youtube tasting salty liquorice for the first time, and then spit it out - as a finn, I could easily find it disrespectful, since I like that stuff, but instead being all "crazy fandom" all over it, I still understand and laugh at the poor fools! :)

Oops, off-topic...!

And even though I did give Aria the Animation a... I admit, a low score, it doesn't mean that I hated it to the bone... because I didn't! I just found more aspects from it that I found not-so-satisfactory to me, than I found that I liked, thus ending up disliking it - not hating! I still get why it is loved by it's fans, but to me... there's little to no appeal, and I'm sorry, if I can't meet you there.

It's also super-awesome how you courage me to give the sequel a shot, despite my earlier dissapointment with the Animation! I've already seen couple of episodes from Natural, and dare I even say, that I've liked so far of what've seen! Although it was also the case with the Animation, but... lets just hope, right :)

Hey, no prob :) Our opinions on this matter just don't seem to mix, and that's cool - I appreciate, that this didn't turn out to be some sort of war between the fellow anime-fans!
My review wasn't ment to harm, or offend anyone, and wheter or not I'm going to like the sequel more, is still on the table - hoping for the best, though!
Overall, despite the differences between us, it still was a nice chat! Thanks for that!

Fine, nitpick all you want - I don't care.
While it is true, that the names you listed would've suited much better in the same category with Aria as a SoL-shows, to me, the shows that I listed in my review felt more alike, so I listed them, instead of those others.
Mushishi is episodic, Hetalia has no story, and Fruits Basket kinda feels like Aria, but actually done right.
Maybe I'm just weird that way, but that's how I see it.
Pahatar Nov 20, 2016 7:57 AM
Yeah, I know.

Those were quite lame examples, but I just needed something to emphasize the overall feel of the show itself. Not so plot-heavy, but rather "feel-happy"- kinda shows.

To me, both Hetalia and Fruits Basket have always been kinda SoL-ish, but maybe that's just me.

I love the irony of the fact that my last comment seems to have killed all the profile comments you get. x.x

Bet you still get lots of PMs though!
LordSchmee Mar 24, 2013 11:26 PM
Just realising how unloved I am on this site. You get so many comments on your profile, I hardly get any. T~T *foreveralone*

(Was gonna do hashtag, but I'm hipster, and hashtag is so mainstream now.)
