Sorry for replying so late, I've been catching up with some of my series before the season ends. I ended up 4-5 episodes behind with a lot of series, because I didn't really felt like watching anime these past weeks. I kind of lost motivation but I'm slowly regaining it back. :)

Well, yeah. I couldn't agree more about that. But you'll see what I was talking about when you start Oofuri. :D

Hmm, that's a hard question. Normaly I would say I prefer manga because it's the source material and there are times when the anime doesn't follow the source, they change stuff... But honestly my memory is not really good when it comes to manga. I read really fast, and sometimes, when I get really into the story, I just end up not even looking at the panels, reading only the texts. Which, of course, leaves me without the visual confirmation. XD

In the case of Haikyuu, I love both the anime and manga. I think I've been following the manga since around chapter 20 or so and I was really happy when they announced the anime. It's one of the best adaptations I've seen. Even the stuff they've changed turned out to be a benefit for the anime. I love Furudate's art style as well, he still needs to improve a lot, but for the most part, I really love it.

Friendship is a nice theme for an anime. In sports I prefer team spirit more. As well as a good mentor-student relationship is always nice. These bonding moments are the best.
I also prefer friendly rivalry over going at each other's throats. I don't really like when opponents are presented as enemies or bad guys.

That sounds cool. Hopefully I can get back to Gintama soon :D

Yep, I think so too. I love Saeko's personality, she's so similar to Tanaka and I can totally imagine her chilling with her little bro and Noya. xD And I love her interactions with Hitoka too. Karasuno cheering squad is getting more and more lively as the manga goes on. :D
Character development is really a strong point of Haikyuu and I really hope Tsukki can sort out the things with his brother. That guy is so adorable too x) And as you said, it's really good to see a sports series where the characters are actually acting like their age. Of course, some parts are a bit overly dramatic but they can turn that into a joke as well.

Ookiku Furikabutte is really similar to Haikyuu in terms of atmosphere and the way the characters are behaving. It's a down to earth sport anime/manga, just like Haikyuu, so maybe you'd like it too. If the occasional BL vibes don't bother you of course. :D

I saw the first two seasons of Kuroko too, but this super power thing didn't click with me for some reason. The animation was stunning though, just as expected of Production I.G. :)
I'm a really big fan of sports anime so if you want to dwell deeper into this genre, feel free to tell me and I'll recommend some more titles. ;)

FMA is a really good start. I loved Brotherhood a lot, it's one of my personal favourite shounens (along with One Piece). I couldn't really get into Gintama yet, but I don't plan on giving up watching that in the future.

Heh, it feels like it was ages ago when I got involved in the fandom. This makes me realize that I'm getting old. x) As long as I can remember, when it came to cartoons I always prefered watching the Japanese ones. I adored Attack No. 1. (Mila the Superstar) and Sailor Moon when I was a little girl. Later, in elementary school I became a fan of Pokemon, Inuyasha and Kaleido Star, and I also got to know Yu Yu Hakusho, Tokyo Mew Mew and a bunch of other titles which were dubbed in Hungarian. I was already in high school when I came across with Naruto which was the first show I watched in Japanese with english subs. That was almost 10 years ago already. Those were good days.

Yeah, I think every anime fan had a period when he/she wanted to live in Japan. And there's really few who can actually make it work so it only remains a good dream for most of us. :)
