Thanks for listing Human Crossing as a recommendation for Otona Joshi no Anime Time. I've been looking for more mature anime for years and I really enjoyed the series.

I named a track from a free improv live album after his story An Ugly Daughter Like Me. IIRC also named a song after Bradherley's Coach in that same record (after Hiroaki Samura manga, which is worse than Lilya 4-ever). I feel the same, it's real horror. Most ero-guro is surreal, or have that comedy tone. I'm not opposed to that (except for Uziga Waita's kind of ridiculousness, but yeah, I hate it but ended enjoying some of his ideas unfortunatelly), but you can't compare a joke to the kind of almost criminally decadent literature Hayami Jun had put out.

I also like and listen to City Hunter soundtrack regularly, I can say.. but it's already cheesy/funny. Some tracks are worse than the cheapest italo disco I ever heard.

You know, its pace/feeling brings me some strange nostalgia. Like a slice of life thing, but the drama and melancholy is always another level.

Nice to find Hayami Jun in your favorites as well btw. One of my main influences along with Peter Sotos on real cruelty. But yeah, nice favorites and taste overall. Konya wa Hurricane is the best anime opening ever imo, but if you always had that link there I must have mentioned to you at some point previously lol
