yeah I think so too. I mean the op has a lot of Umineko characters and the mansion legit showed up so yeah I agree. I'm excited to see op 2 hopefully by next week? Someone said that this season will end with Rika being a witch lol.

I think those 13 eps were just Ryu07 trolling that "nah it's a remake" maybe to hint old fans that this is not the same Hinamizawa from back then.

Someone did say that this is their first "big project" as if their previous projects weren't big lol. Maybe this time they're trying to expand to Umineko? Gou being directly related to Umineko seems to be a divided thing in the fandom, some want it, some don't. I'd also prefer a season 2 rather than to speedrun those 5 tries. That seems quite impossible though, considering it took Rika 100 years to get out of that loop especially now with Hanyuu gone. But one thing differs from the Hinamizawa now is that Keiichi seems to remember fragments of other worlds more frequently. Welp we'll see where this goes.

And yeah I also saw that the manga was different from the anime. I'm not sure what I liked better though.

hi again lol. I just finished minagorishi and I understand most now. I don't understand the whole witch and gameboard thing yet so just one question about that- is it just an Umineko thing or is it also explained/tackled in Higurashi?

Also I assume you've seen gou's latest episode and I wanna know your thoughts.

I feel as if Gou is fan service giving us what if stories especially with the second arc "what if the doll was given to Mion" something like that but the first and third chapters of Gou just completely went in a different path. Its just new content.

The Deen version is definitely more gory and it presents more mystery adding more and more questions each ep where as in Gou it seems that Ryu07 wants us to be sherlock. In terms of gore, Gou is has way less and It lacks the low quality charm that Deen has (idk how to explain it) but it has its moments and if done right it may surpass the og. As for the writing and how the mystery in Hinamizawa is presented, it's not bad but it doesnt live up to the standards of the og imo.

Maybe its trying to be something completely new and expand its storyline? I'm not sure I haven't finished Rei lol so I'm not sure if Higurashi already reached its "true end". Maybe it wants to explain more things from the original but that would mean that its not friendly to new comers although being advertised as such.

I think its fan service and that's all there is to it (right now, at least).

well its not really about it but I just want to hear on your opinions on Gou. Is it really that bad if you start from there 'cause I did and its not too bad. Then again from what I've heard, it spoiles kai and rei. What do you think Gou is going for?

hello!!! I saw you in the forums of gou and I just wanted to discuss Higurashi as a newcomer. I kinda get it but at the same time I'm confused and my mind is fucked lol. I watched gou first but then I just recently finished the og deen adaptation and i'm about to start kai.

You know something - On and off the prospect of adding Clannad to my PTW list was something I've wrestled with. Even though I wasn't even aware of anime and into watching it at all at the time of its release and up until a few years ago in fact, it's still one of those big enough names I had definitely still heard about even for years before joining MAL. The assortment of genres seems to tick all the boxes of something I may end up loving, but that's why I've been nervous - with such a legacy, I don't want to set expectations too high, as with anything. But what if I find another precious gem?? Anyway, I wanted to let you know it was on my mind on and off since you mentioned it and I ended up adding it a couple of days ago.

Oh boy...Koi Kaze. If you do end up deciding to watch it down the line, I'd always be interested in hearing your thoughts. It's the type of series where your viewing experience of what you've seen before, your mood or time/place in life, or your views on the events and topics portrayed may dramatically influence your relation to the series (I mean, to an extent that's true of all anime but to me it's akin to a matter of degrees). It was my first series and introductory anime so it occupies a very special place for me, but it's been weird since then seeing how it's kind of an anomaly and still doesn't really feel like any other anime I've seen since, like 115 series later. Without it I wouldn't have discovered Higurashi and so many other rich and tremendous stories though.
