A pharmacist with a little too much time on his hands, though is increasingly getting more and more bored of his simple friends and thus more time holing up in his apartment studying, playing fighting games, and enjoying visual entertainment. Even in an online sort of community he tends to hole up and keep to himself.
Like probably most newcomers to anime in Generation Y, my interest in anime started with Dragon Ball Z in high school, though nowadays I rather laugh at myself for. The real gateway, however, to fandom did not start until 2006 when I watched and enjoyed all of Full Metal Alchemist, enjoying the story, the tragedy, the difference of characters. I typically love great plot-driven stories, stories also containing real-life crisis afflicting the characters presented. Fighting anime and fighting scenes tend to bore me quickly, as that the satisfaction of both really only can be enjoyed with one view through; though, contradictorily I love competitive fighting games as my favorite genre and it seems the quickest way to get me to watch any series is to make a fighting game out of it to get me interested. Any series with unique presentation, regardless of plot presented typically gets high scores from me. Anime like Bakemonogatari and the 5th movie of Kara no Kyoukai are such beautiful presentation along with story, thus gaining great appreciation from me.
