Haha. Well i can see that happening to directors but only on projects that from from other things, like comics or books. If it's an original piece with no source material, wouldn't you say they have free reign to do what they want? There are directors who also write their own works (Affleck). Rare but still. People also go with independent films to avoid too much sponsor nonsense i think. Movies make me feel a certain way, not exactly emotional but something. TV shows i guess can actually be tear jerkers but not actual TV, it's just certain anime for me. Watching real people cry and stuff isn't emotional to me. I loved Breaking Bad but i never had a tear jerker moment, it was mostly "damn" moments like Damn, can't believe that happened to Pinkman. Speaking of which, watch The Revenant! it''s good!

Chop down that backlog of anime man. It doesn't though, it's focused on the happenings going on around and within the main cast. Its not about slice of life or anything.The only instance of otaku is really when first introducing the big guy and he has some figures or something but after that it's back to the main story. Idk man, it sounds like you're just making a big misconception about the show, it wouldn't be so highly rated and revered as a classic if it was just about cute girls, that'd be stupid. Only shows about "look at me im cute" are show like K-ON or Denpa Onna to Seishun Otoko. I honestly can't think of any other shows off the top of my head where that feels like the main point of the show. Alright then. You're missing out till then though.

Idk, most TV shows follow the same stereotypes and it's annoying. It's only cop shows or doctor shows or terrible sitcoms. Movies get to go in any direction, which is nice. Do that on TV and you're cancelled.

I felt the same but atleast Gurren was a fantastic show and it was a lot more shocking in that. The plot holes distract from whatever positive vibes the show has.

Well... everyone is a little crazy. Idk man, i think it's just that lives shows aren't appealing to me anymore. I get enough looking at people at work. He was cool in Bond and that Shia LeBouf movie. Hahaha. No people complained that 13 was too linear when it came out. It was fine ro me, people were just bitching because every other game was OMG OPEN WORLD! 13-2 was good as well but story wise, it was stupid. Any story about time travel is just dumb (except Steins Gate; Masterpiece). 13-3 looked like trash though, through and through so i didn't play that, Chuck will say otherwise though. I wouldn't say they should drop it, I still think the series is great but the best thing about it is that every Numbered games is a different tale and universe. In a sense, it's a series only because of the name but nothing else. Making an new RPG that they think is good and calling it something else wouldn't be a great business move for them i'd say, especially if it's garbage. (Look up Last Remnant and Lost Oddessey). Deus Ex is pretty cool, but i wouldn't justify the hype. I liked the Human Revolution but at the same time, after i beat it, i just thought it was pretty okay. It's big thing are it's idea. the ending was weak stupid shit though. Press a button..........

Yeah i guess, i pretty much don't watch any live shows anymore since the ones i did ended. Nothing else on TV looks to be interesting at all. As for your picks, That Hannibal guy looks cool, but neh. I wasn't saying rate things fro other people to see, im just curious as to why you don't. SO you only rank shows if you tink the average score for it doesn't agree with you? that's kinda stupid man. It also wno't really move the number either. That's basically what the ratings are for. Haha but a 7 isn't all that great. i just try to give every show i watch my own personal score AFTER i've finished it, not inbetween episodes like the rest of the community. I don't think there's really any shows ive ranked under 6. andn yeah i am kinda generous, but only kinda. I don't shoot for 10's all the time.

Yeah Kaiki bodes well wihm me, i see a Kaiki as a very similiar person to me haha. I never really change my favorite listings though, i only did after that one season of monogatari with Kaiki coming back because he's the man. Mephesto is cool too from Blue Exorcist.

That's doesn't make a lot of sense at all. a scoring system is supposed to reflect your actual opinion on something, but to be used in a 1 or 10 awesome to shit scale. There's hardly that many that fall into one or the other. I generally score everything after i've watched it. Some what to reflect on how i felt about and to decide whether i'll be buying it later on and putting it in my collection.
