Each Character has well written moral compass, attitude, behaviour, goals, motives by which they live.it so well done I would say that this is the most realistic characters you would find anywhere! One of the things i love about this anime is how there are no clear good and bad sides.. everyone is realistically written and doing what one would do according to their experiences and life so far, be it Reiner or Berthold who mass murdered or Armin who got caught up in all this.. there is no clear bad and good.. eren kills marleyans in s4 , even though he is justified it still makes him a war criminal.. even the smallest things like why Levi is so rude is shown properly... 
It is beyond perfect. Perfectly matches with how dark, grim, tense and good the show is.. every scene is given the perfect music to elevate it to 11. don't believe me? check out this playlist : 
Now we get to see the other side of the world and we get to see that its normal people are same on both sides and its all about perspective. One was brainwashed and discriminated while other one was slaughtered without any explanation. The ones with power had made sure that peace was never an option so eren decides that he will be the 'bad guy' who dirties his hands with blood of innocents and his enemies alike to gain what is important.. reiner is reminded that even though not that bad but still something similar is gonna happen to their place & people now. 
War Hero Gintoki Sakata lives doing odd jobs meets shinpachi and kagura and trio does things.. with main bad guy as takasugi. don't ask too much about the plot and all ...why you ask? let's hear it from the MC himself: ⬅️
Even the characters that come for a second here have a huge and surprising effect on the story, there are rarely shows where everyone is a memorable character.. for me it would be demon slayer, attack on titan (for obvious reasons) and Gintama. even joke/gag characters are more rememberable than most main characters because everyone has their own quirks, behaviour, character-specific running gags like Shinichi being a pair of glasses and gintoki's naturally wavy hair.. Trust me, you will fall in love with each and every one of them.
